Honestly been kind of hilarious watching glue sniffers ragecomment without watching past the first 10 seconds just because arthars was a bit cynical at the start of the video. Y'all need to get off the computer and get some sunlight. Gonna be banning every user that are either obviously baiting or hating for the sake of hating from ever commenting on the channel again. Debating and disagreeing with opinions are completely fine, but hate for the sake of hate isn't.

The job action trailer would not give you the impression they "reworked" the class. If I didn't know they were reworking it, I would've just assumed that it got the same treatment as all the other jobs, a trait to update animations of old skills, 1 or 2 new skills. I guess what they mean by rework was "reworking" the blood/life windows to 30s per cycle. Compared to the other reworks, Mnk and Nin, which got really good reworks, this looks like it jumped and fell flat on its face

They said in the slides that they didnt rework it much at all. They only replaced the second fang and claw/wheeling thrust with a positionless attack and apologized to people who were looking for a bigger rework.

Considering Heavy Thrust was removed from DRG years back due to being a no-thought maintenance buff that simply wasn't fun to press, the fact they later on added the same ability(BUT WORSE because it goes on enemies instead of you, so they needed two version of it for ST and aoe) to RPR was hilariously out of touch with their own design philosophy.

Death's design is not what makes reaper, reaper. It's a debuff with 5%damage increase... reaper would play exactly the same without it. Leylines i think should be ground zone as is. But death's design is just fluff with gauge flood in dungeon content, it's not doing anything, besides "press me or lose damage, but I'm not doing any damage myself".

@@aiu941 if DDesign was a 30s dot instead of a dbuff with property to stack to 60s like current debuff, I would at least see that there is some point to it. However current DDesign is fluff shit that doesnt need to be in the game, yet is.

honestly i think classes have reached a point where they can't really change much skill wise...it's mostly just cosmetic effects or 1 extra skill at max level the only time a class will go through drastic changes is from a rework which mostly comes every new expac...i was going to suggest maybe class specs but the effort needed for that would be beyond taxing but i can dream of a dark knight dps....i can dream

People were freaking out about the ley lines movement, and i'm over here thinking "....what if you get two charges of ley lines, and using a charge removes a previously set ley lines to make Between the Lines unchanged?" I think having it built that way instead of changing ley lines position would be pretty cool

All in all lazy is the word that describes it the best, I like the fact they decided to put some 1-2-3 combos to one button, but that's all, even the reworks feel lazy. Some will like them some wont, now how good will they be for the game overall only time will tell. Sometimes tho you have to take risks and not play safe and they play on the safe side for quite some time.

@@Volfur2251 playing devils advocate, there are probably a lot of people who felt "finality" in endwalker. As we're starting a new story arc and hitting level 100, the community already expects the story not to hit the highs of shadowbringers and Endwalker. It would have been cool for this expac to overhaul the combat entirely to give the game a fresh coat of paint going into the new stuff.

That's 8.0 given the couple mentions of potential drastic changes in that. 7.0 is combat smoothing and graphical update. 8.0 is combat overhaul.
