Is " Benin" a part of Nigeria.... I am American born, and I have 40% Benin/Togo blood in me. I had heard that before boarders were changed alot of this was " Nigerian" land. I have 1% of Nigerian blood, 29% Cameroon Congo & Southern Bantu, 16% Mali, and 8% Ivory Coast Ghana.. Someone told me I should do the African Ancestry which could pin point information for me better. I was born in America, but I'm proud to say I have 94% West African bloodline... and I have passed that information on to my children, and plan on visiting in the near future.

The real name of Benin is call Bini or Igodomigodo but the British change it to Benin point of correction but if you say Benin another write Bini both of you are right but one is real old Bini and the other one is new by the British called Benin ( Uluabinu named by our son from Izoduwa that change by the Yorubas Oduduwa if not the real name of the Benin is called Igodomigodo.

Idiot the british were not the first europeans to write diwn the name Benin on a map of Benin Kingdom. You morons just live on fairytales and believe yourselves to ne educated. The only recorded name for the Kingdom is Benin Kingdom and its capital is Benin City.

Bini Kingdom does not exist. The correct name for the Kingdom is Benin, not Bini. The inhabitant of the Kingdom are called Edos. The word Bini was made up by outsider.

@oduwa Emeka. What doesn't exist was "Benin". The correct name for the Kingdom was Bini but the foreigners pronounced it wrong so there came " Benin"

You are absolutely correct! The music being played is not Bini (Edo) music. Junk journalism by Channel TV.
@alphared57155 жыл бұрын
@BGKAISSY Bob Ricous is absolutely correct. The music being played is a Malian music by Habib Koite, titled 'I Ka Barra'. Obviously Mali Music is not Nigeria music, or Edo (Bini) music. Bini music should have used, which there are tons of them available in Nigeria where this documentary was produced. Please next time, do your research before you start ridiculing others.

The level of éducation in Nigeria is horrible, how can a so called nigerian journalist rely on stupid fairytales which lead thème to misspell Benin into 'bini' ? Thinking and researching ain't you people's thing. All you needed to do was to ask Oba Palace.
