He mentioned every single artist influenced by Brown, except for the most obvious one - KING DIAMOND

Not as widely know I suppose. And as a KD fan myself I don't really remember him saying anything about Arthur Brown influencing him. Edit: ok, I just found him citing Arthur Brown as one of his influences. Well, I guess they didn't mention him because he's not as widely known and maybe just too obvious of an example.

One of the great English eccentrics. Surprised but really privileged to see him as a guest of Hawkwind at Leeds Town Hall the other night. What a bonus!

..I was 12 years old and I (dressed in a leotard and face paint) was lying by the river..and suddenly the river burst into flames and the sand was burning....and my besty was also dancing and we were going off and playing the roles right through the album (it was late 60's) and we made her parents sit and watch and they were so almost appalled but also entralled...gosh I loved to dance to this album...it was just fucking amazing....go Arthur...you molded my early teenage music and dancing craziness....fire was just a small song really...the others were way more intense....(I actually got my grandaughters to have a dance in the early 2000's...) so cool...thanks again...love you heaps xxx

It is amazing to admit that in 2017 or 2021.... we have no chance to catching up to where real talent was in the late 1960s.

It's difficult because there were so many talented artists during that time.

He's not the threat like a soldier who does what he is told. His leader is the threat. Alice Cooper Anti Christ same initials if it walks like a duck maybe it's Donald. Lets see What Mick has to say, Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah But what's confusing you Is just the nature of my game Just as every cop is a criminal And all the sinners saints As heads is tails Just call me Lucifer Cause I'm in need of some restraint So if you meet me Have some courtesy Have some sympathy, and some taste Use all your well-learned politesse Or I'll lay your soul to waste, um yeah Pleased to meet you Hope you guessed my name, um yeah. Same team, embrace the darkness fore it has embraced you.

I had the pleasure of meeting Arthur at Glastonbury Festival Avalon Stage in 2002 when I was an MC there and we had a really interesting chat. I come from Cardiff and he was telling me he was in a choir there long ago. I had also been on stage with him at a concert in the Student's Union in Cardiff in 1971, I think it was. I was dancing in the strobe lighting and dry ice and jumped up on the stage too. He is one of the most amazing live performers I have ever seen and I have seen a lot!

Hadn't thought of "Fire" since the early 70s. Then all of a sudden last week the music was in my head. Since I didn't have a clue what the artist's name was, I wasn't very hopeful to find it. So I go on KZbin, put "Fire" in the search and straightaway it is there! Great! Been listening and watching it every night; esp like the one with Alice Cooper!

christians still see him as a threat it's funny, he isn't literally the god of hellfire, he's a creative performer with an operatic range and his songs are thought provoking, and beautiful. Peoples problem is the rabbit in headlights effect, we only see the light, we only want to see the light, the surface. But I had the pleasure of being at a festival this weekend, in Mount Ephraim Gardens where he performed and it was awesome, and he was circulating around the crowd hours after his performance. It was a joy.

@@macabre2007 Maybe that religious people are terrible judges of character and art? A point well worth observing.
@macabre20072 жыл бұрын
@@ulfingvar1 well not all but let's say the intolerant and over righteous no matter if they are religious or not, are those who rush to judgement without considering the consequences and the optics of what they achieve by their actions.

I really would love to see this film. Have no idea what the URL is to contribute?
When the dross is burned away, the Master will look into the silver and when his image is seen in us, it's time to come home. Many of us will be glad to heave that ethereal bag of misbegotten thoughts and memories (we call our mind) into the Fire and go home.

"Everything is Now" "In it's purest sense this moment has no purpose, it just is, and that's the beauty of it." And then an immediate launch into a retrospective, building a case for relevance that stretches over decades with a certain long ago landmark moment. The incoherence is staggering. Now is NOT everything - as you all know who want to make the film, 'Everything is Now'! Everything is Now is a meme put out there so that others might emulate Arthur Brown and never develop as artists or thinkers, but rather will sit and meditate and vegetate and fail to create anything new, or question the ideas social engineers put out there to shape the future. 'Everything is Tomorrow' - that would be a project worth supporting, aiming to inspire people to remake the world as they would like to see it. No more sitting on cushions feeling so much wiser than the people who actually make positive change happen.
