Wow. No one even talks about Arthur Prysock anymore. INCREDIBLE voice. When I was a kid, I used to practice trying to sing like him and Nat King Cole. Never quite made it, of course, but it was a joy just listening to those old vinyl LPs with my mom and dad!

Heard his wonderful voice when I was a youngster. Loved it then, love it even more now. Thank you for posting.

Thanks Goldenoldies101-- I love the contrast between the flute that dances throughout this arrangement and that rich barritone of Arthur Prysock. verve put out some really great albums in the 60's. Besides Arthur Prysock and Astrud Gilberto they also had quite a good jazz library.

In my opinion, the only other baritone vocalist to compare with Arthur Prysock was The Great Al Hibler. For those who never heard Al Should lend an ear.

A great manly voice. I suspect Arthur could have done any kind of music he might have chosen to do, including opera.

Gorgeous Art! Such a stunning voice...nice backing here, too. Who is it? At moments arrangement sounds Stan Kenton-ish...love the pretty flute.

I listened to Sinatra's version and it doesn't touch Arthur Prysock's!
