Would love to see a medieval line in the future. Not necessarily fantasy but more grounded in reality/ history like these figures are. Would be pretty awesome to be able to battle both medieval knights and samurai together too! Awesome figures guys, keep up the amazing work.

I bought this guy mainly for the head sculpt. Gonna combine with the drunken master body with some swords to make myself a Jubei from Ninja Scroll!

I'm surprised I scrolled for a bit and didn't see anyone mentioning that this figures appearence clearly takes inspiration from the character Kibagami Jubei in the Anime Ninja Scroll. It's literally a perfect hair sculpt to replicate that characters appearance... if only his gi would have been brown/grey and tattered, he'd simply be missing his straw hat and poncho.

Great work, have been watching the over view videos over a few days and the figures are really great. You can tell they're made by people who love action figures due to the range of movement, accessories and little details like the figuarts wrist set-up. Great work and good to see all of that work starting to payoff!

Think you'll do a video discussing the entire process of these figures? I'd be really interested in hearing what you learned from these with the back and forth with the factory, the process of budgets, and little things like getting the paint from the factory to match your paint here. Also if the way you view action figures has changed from yourexprience with these.

Me personally, I see some of the interaction when the head of the design team is telling us after the fact, but that would be mostly for him to relay. He's done some video with the ACBA Facebook group and some older podcasts, may have to see if he'll do something here on the channel.

When you get the Silver coloured Samurai to review, you need to put him with Wolverine or you'll be kicking yourself with that opportunity. I'm definitely thinking about getting that one as a makeshift Silver Samurai. It looks eerily similar to my Silver Samurai artwork.

Oh man, just two is a toughie. I'd get a samurai and a martial artist, that way you have all four body types represented. You can strip off the samurai armor and have a ninja, or take the gi off the martial artist and have a bare chest. If you add in the arms pack you can even give him bare arms to go with the bare chest.

Maaan these are looking awesome! The only things that didn't click with me too much were the hair (kinda looks like it was from the 80's all puffy and what not) and the thighs, they look shorter than they should be. But otherwise damn sir, I think I might have to buy a few if these.

That's one of the reason that the design team made the hair interchangeable, can change whatever you don't like about the figure. Believe me, I wasn't too keen on it in the first place either but figured with so many options I could do something else. Get the figure in-hand and he's going to keep it. Plus I like telling Indy that I'm happy with "glam rock Ryu" because I haven't learned all of the names yet, haha.

I'm not sure who sculpted the original Ryu but the sculptor did work at SOTA later.

I don't think the martial artist was available when i 1st pledged. He wasn't til a bit after now I'm curious, .. how many molds is there TOTAL, in the Articulated Icons line? In addition, how many figures/characters are there in TOTAL in the line? ...Now, i DEFINITELY want those extra arms/hands & the more I see of this line the more I wanta fully Complete it. I vaguely remember a "buy everything" option. before the stretch goals were all unlocked they had something like that. So Idk if it was less then the amount of characters now. :/

I'm not sure about molds, and I think there are 15 different characters when it's all said and done. There was an all-in option that was the only way to get the smoke ninja. If you pledged to the kickstarter you can email backerkit and have them re-open your backer kit, where you can add whatever you want.

It really would be worth something tells me there is a good chance these could TAKE off ESPECIALLY if they have some kinda media attached to them in the future, that's more then just "card art". Like a good story, with a sick artist thar makes it pop or even a 20 to 25 min animated special. :) (I'm just spilt balling here, but who knows. you made the toys happen & that was a feat of its own;)

This figure looks pretty good but those bicep swivels are not great, they really break the sculpt. Also, the eyes are looking at opposite directions. Those are the only major gripes I have with this figure just by looking at it through a computer screen, everything else seems to be pretty solid. Now on a different note, do think there's a possibility these figures might reach retail in the future? If so are they going to be a little cheaper to get?

Don't think any brick and mortar retailer is going to show interest, online retailers maybe. But if they do they will sell at their own set price, no way of telling if they will be cheaper or not.

I've been using the model Sandtroopers as Stormtroopers so they've stayed clean. The Hasbro Sandtroopers work just as good with all of the gear on them, hides the various gaps that the Black Series troopers have.

It's charged when you order. We're expecting the figures in February, we'll do fulfillment for existing orders and then open up to the public. That's the plan anyway.
