So well done. Those slurs and growls were so good and authentic Shaw. I've heard other classical performers try this piece and they all are wonderful technicians but they didn't seem to understand the jazz feel with the long glissandos, short scoops and tasteful growls here and there. Great job.

OK, so it may not be quite 'as good' as Artie himself - BUT it was prewtty darned good! The videographer did a reasonably good job of capturing the movements of the performers, which is part of the enjoyment of the workl!

I'm not sure. The original was 2 sides of a 30-cm 78 disk. That allowed about 8 minutes which is close to this performance.
