It's incredible how people still hate Robert as a real person after his impersonation of AJ, even though he appears to be a completely normal dude. It's only a testimony to his incredible acting skills.

They don’t hate Robert as a person, he just doesn’t have a charismatic personality to be in show business. I saw him on a podcast with Tom Segura and it was like Tom was talking to a brick wall.

@@3rdeye931 That isn't a good enough reason to hate him though

I’m German, Irish and A little Italian. Anyways it makes a little more sense now why AJ reminded me of myself on many occasions. Plus we were the same age during the same time period. I think Robert Iler is one year older than I am. After filming and editing the show by the time it aired AJ was my exact same age. It’s crazy how accurate David Chase made every character and every actor to make those characters feel like an actual person. The depth and psychology behind every characters personality, seriously has never been done this well or it doesn’t happen often at least. The backstory and events that happened to each character throughout the years. The actors and writing they make you feel that continuity, they’re carrying all that story with them as if they were real people with a history of themselves.

Big fan of the Sopranos. always connected with aj cause I was around late teens watching the show. all the characters were great and very well acted show. it was a heartbreak when james gandalfini died. Great interview with Robert Iler. We got to hear some great things about james too. he was such a great guy. would have loved to shaken his hand

Knowing all the stories about how great & generous Gandolfini was at the time he passed, and obviously being a huge Sopranos fan (i've watched the entire series probably 50 times no joke), and obviously the movies he was in like get shorty, the last castle, etc, he's the only actor/actress that caused me to cry a little whenever I found out he died... well actually it wasn't until I started watching a random episode of the sopranos after I heard the news and saw him and thought "oh my god, he's gone...."

lol.... I didn't even know Artie had a show Sopranos was brilliant. The way it was explained, everyone was from the East Coast. I think that made a huge difference. A lot had to do with how uniquely it was. It was just a simple story yet complicated. Good drama. Good mafia dramatic. We needed that. We only had good mafia movie's... ...James was so awesome. Good actor and human. Seems he was good

Huge Sopranos fan but never saw any real interviews with this kid. But wow I was surprised at how charming and funny he is. Lots of great behind the scenes info on the show too. No offense to Artie though but I wish it was a better host doing the interview... even Howard. Artie's questions were too basic.

You already won the lotto by landing that Sopranos role, don't piss it away gambling. Instead parlay that role in to some more sweet acting jobs, because if you stay in Vegas as a degenerate gambler the acting jobs will dry up and you'll die broke. You coulda played Harry Potter and doubled your money, see what I'm saying?

He was charged with taking 40.00 from two 16 year old kids in NYC in 2002. He took a plea deal to escape a long time in jail. A really nice guy? Just because you are on a hit TV show everybody assumes you are a good person. Don’t assume.
@copheart4 жыл бұрын
As you assume he's not a nice guy. That was over 13 years ago. You've never gotten into some shit with your friends? Probably not with that personality.
@noahschmartz23543 жыл бұрын
didnt like the forklift cut at Bocchetti. Kid should know his station better, firstly he's much younger than Bocchetti and also he doesnt have enough history with him to make that sort of a comment appropriate or funny as say it would be coming from Artie.

It's not. Breaking Bad is fucking amazing, but the Sopranos is godlike. It's a lot lonher, a lot more complex, and there are five times more characters. Breaking Bad is my favourite right behind the Sopranos still.
@rampageclover97889 жыл бұрын
Breaking Bad would not exist without The Sopranos. Vince Gilligan owes his career to David Chase.
