Omg wat gaaf! Ik had geen idee dat je het aquarium in kon met Open Monumenten Dag 😍 I once got a guided backstage tour through the aquarium, yeaaaaars back, it was absolutely incredible. The aquarium is my fav part of Artis, can’t wait until it’s open again 🩷

Jaa, ik had ook het geluk dat iemand me ervan op de hoogte bracht haha, wat gaaf wel! Ik was er nog nooit geweest dus het was heel cool om te zien, ben benieuwd hoe het straks is als er ook vissen in zwemmen :D

The Dutch canal aquarium was my favorite part of the zoo. It was actually for me a reason to go because I really don't like the rest of Artis because the enclosures are very much lacking in space and enrichment in the majority of the park.

@@justGoron well I'm still reading it because it's almost a book. but so far I think there is a real lack of vision. Artis would've been amazing to showcase one specific area like Suriname. Lots of small species and a focus on area of which we have a lot of immigrants seems more profitable. They just need to get rid of their jaguars and great apes because at this point they are doing lots of damage to zoo's in general by giving them a bad image.
