Cheap Artis Brushes vs Beauty Blender | Milabu
At the first glance you might not admit it, however, after a closer look you might admit that the really expensive $75 Artis Oval 7 Brush is actually cheaper and a better value than any sponge. The quality of this brush can never be rivaled by any sponge, as shown over the years in the artistic community. Sponges they break down after several months. In the long run, they end up costing you much more.

As an Make up artist for over 30 years experience, I can create a flawless application with any tool but to be able to wet the Beauty Blender and wash it immediately allows me to utilize it on multiple canvas's. Also if you are a licensed professional you can purchase the Beauty Blenders in a Pro pac that is half the cost! And in conclusion, the handle on the Artiste brushes are best for personal use, it is awkward to use on your clients face and it more likely that someone will wash the Beauty Blender more often than they wash the Artiste brush.

And I can’t stand how much it sheets out the foundation (I use light and medium type of foundation), and I feel like I gotta use A LOT MORE to get a medium coverage. Then I remembered someone using Artis brush ! Decided to order. But first wanted to see a comparison between the two products (cuz regular brushes don’t really work on me cuz of my dry, large pores skin).... so I’m so happy I stumbled upon this video. And I went ahead and ordered the brush thanks to u! Fingers crossed I will be finally pleased with this make up applicator, Artis brush ! :)

I have both Beauty Blender and Artis 7 and 8 Brush. I think they all give great coverage based on the coverage you are going for. I do find that the beauty blender takes up more product. I find that the Artis brushes gives a fuller coverage if you go around it once or twice. If you do continue to blend the hell out of your foundation, it will sheer out your foundation. BUT.. that is a user error not the brushes fault. IF you use the BB over and over again it does the same thing as it sheers out your foundation. I like the artis finish a lot more than the beauty blender and it is quick v. going back and forth to make sure all is okay. YET, I love the portability of the BB because i don't have to carry my expensive Artis brushes and fear them getting lost by the Airport. Plus the BB is one tool that I can use for my concealer, Foundation and contour.

OMG thank you for this video! Ive watched a few artis videos and was super interested. They remind me of those body shower brushes lol But I told my husband about them, and I mentioned the price and I was like they are very popular. Well that doesnt impress him. lol So this is more "scientific" and shows the difference between this and the sponge (which honestly Ive had a hard time working with, I dont know whats wrong w/me!). I love how it shows the coverage and everything! So very cool. Ive never seen anything like this! Have you done a video on if you can do a second layer of foundation with the artis brush? I prefer a full coverage look. Also what about concealer I tend to use my fingers to really cover my acne, but sometimes it can look cakey. Thank you!!

Agreed with the other commenters... Your videos are AMAZING! Way better than all the other beauty KZbinrs! Question... I use a pro cream foundation (ie Cinema Secrets). Typically, these are applied with a disposable triangle sponge for an even, lightweight finish. How do you think that would compare to the artis brushes? I wish I could test it without buying a set!

I am a new subscriber and really enjoy these types of videos!! Have you considered using a much lighter or darker foundation when using the foundation on your skin? It might show what you're demonstrating more easily? Just a thought! 😉

But we already tried it and when I go to edit the video it just doesn't show up as well as I would like on camera. It doesn't show the texture, finish, and coverage as well as on the glass test that we came up with. :) so that's why I try to incorporate other visible tests for all of us to see better - what is actually going on with the brushes, makeup, etc. thank you so much for the support

I would love to get a artis brush but however I calculated it all for the artis oval 7 to be shipped over here to Canada it would be $100 CAD, just for one brush lol I just need to save up

Yes but the beauty blender company says a maximum of three months until you need to get a new one because they become more dull, harbor bacteria, and perform less well. So 20 X 4 would be 80$ by the end of a year. But with an artis brush that costs 60$ it should last for many years

I liked the video, but from my personal experience using the brush give coverage is much better than a sponge Beauty Blender

+hessa thank you! Same here! I was shocked when the beauty blender gave me a matte finish with more coverage compared to this Artis oval 7 brush. A dampened beauty blender is supposed to sheer out the foundation. But this was fun to see that it actually gave more coverage vs the brush :)
