I absolutely love the look, though to get the idea of a cloak either coming on or off (I assume on) i personally would have taken just the tips of the wings, maybe 2 cm or so and copied the front space theme onto those sections as well so it feels like the cloak effect works from the outer most portion of the vehicle to the inner, rather than just front to back

I love the blending on the colours, however what really sold me was the star field on the nose which actually gave me the idea and solution to do something I've been thinking about doing. I'm planning on building and painting a Klingon Bird of Prey as "seen" during the battle on Star Trek VI which is firing while cloaked. So, the plan is paint it all black with the stars, and then a red OSL on the nose as the Torpedo leaves... the screen shots are cool and thanks to you now know how to so the starfield. My BOP should arrive tomorrow.

Nice one, looks really striking, great way to draw attention to your models! As a side note, the speckling technique you used for the stars is super versatile and makes realistic weathering a doddle, you can make superficial paint chipping(lighter base colour, as if the paint has not chipped right through) or mud splatters, or you can use it with something like Vallejo thick mud or wilder textured earth to make a cool looking build up of caked on mud surprisingly quickly, for stuff like splashes i usually use enamel paints so that I can remove any speckles that come out too big, or end up in areas where I don't want them

@@ArtisOpus Well, in that regard it's like Time = 10, what with this lockdown going on, patience = 0 :P. I think though that just being willing to get involved with the painting and collecting of these miniatures speaks volumes about the person though. You've got to be inherantly patient just to collect them, knowing how much time and money it's going to take. Coincidentally, this isn't my first time collecting an army. one question please: i´m about to buy the drybrush set and i want to buy the texture palette also. can you tell me please if the palette can be cleaned after loading it up with paint. or just used it till full and throw it up? thank you very much

Hey dude, no need to clean it, check out Sunday's video to see just how much abuse mine get. I periodically re-prime (chaos black)

Seen a few nice cloaking videos. I thought cloak position was fine as any gamer is going to realise what's happening. I'd have maybe done more detail on the rear end and left the silver off the cockpit as if cloaked, would all be cloaked 🤔 but then, with my level of painting, mine would probably look like the cloak had malfunctioned 😂

Agree, dude! The main reason for painting the frame is actually just for contrast. It looked a bit weird without even if it is 'wrong'😊

Jeez, an hour and a half to do that? It takes me longer than that just to get a decent basecoat on a model 😕 Looks great, possibly would have brought the transition pont a bit further back and possibly at a slight angle. Would look great on something like a star trek model, like a klingon ship decloaking or something 🤷🏻♂️

Doesn't really sell the cloaking idea to me. Should have the red still at the top of the fins on the front there. Line of green is a bit straight too. Looks a bit odd having the windows cloaked but not the window frames too
