Really glad you decided to highlight Sugimoto and your video here is a really great primer for those who might not be familiar with him and a very enjoyable review for those of us who are! Well done Joshua, I enjoy your channel very much and thank you for this new video!

I've been looking at a few Sugimoto books for a while but this has convinced me to pick a couple up, particularly his theatre and seascape work. Inspiring stuff.

The Photographer I would like you to cover is Pennie Smith. You are displaying one of her photographs in this video on London Calling LP. She used a Pentax ES II SLR to shoot it. The last M42 mount ("Universal Thread Mount") camera that Pentax made.

Just found your channel. Love the way you explored sugimoto. Its kinda rare this kind of content on youtube. My suggestions if you want to dive in the fineart world are brooke shaden and cindy sherman, just to be than sugimoto. I also suggest you have a look at one of my former teachers, patricia pettitt

So, a museum allowed him to set up a tripod in front of a display for hours? And no one complained, and no one bumped the tripod? My museum would not allow such nonsense. Nor would any movie theater allow anyone to bring in a camera.
