You are being too hard on yourself, I know its only human nature, but in my eyes you are an extreemly talented artist, you are working on many projects, spending time with friends, hiking, traveling, photography, in my eyes this is all productive just filling up different cups. Keep up the great videos, its truly such a comfort to watch (the parts when you draw and you voice over also -to answer the question) ❤

Just discovered your channel and am really enjoying my time going through the backlog of your videos. I'm a near-40 year old corpo professional that is trying to get art back into my life, after what feels like over a decade of trying. I think if anything, you just learn over time that there is no correct path. I could regret my time spent not making art (and I definitely have and still catch myself doing), but I spent it in other ways - building a career, falling in love and getting married, etc. If you view the times of not-art as necessary growth, then it doesn't feel like as much wasted time. :) You (and I!!) are still young yet, we have lots of time. I also recently got my first camera, a Fuji XT-30 - love your photos!

this is so sweet, I agree🥹🫶 there is so much more to life than what we can produce, I’m excited to experience it all and be able to grow along side any art that I happen to make💖 much love & good vibes to you - best of luck with your art journey🫶 also the xt-30 looks awesome!! hope u have so much fun with it!

I love seeing other people's art process but definitely don't feel the need to record if it's in your way! I feel the same way when I draw. If I record myself drawing (for reels), I feel that I have to be drawing "perfectly" for the video. I can totally relate on not sitting comfortably recording as well. Also the editing, it's all too much sometimes because I just want to have this intimate moment alone while I draw. Hope you are doing well today, glad to see you talk about your mental health so openly! Sending love

gooosh I relate SO MUCH to the "I wanna do art, but then I have to record it" and ending up not doing it. That is such a hard thing to balance. Still didn't find the balance myself - I'm just constantly fighting against that feeling of guilt of not filming reaaally hard 🙈
@leechuts8 ай бұрын
it’s such a struggle🥲 I’m realizing over time that it’s more just a matter of listening to how I feel and trying not to be hard on myself for it - like if I don’t feel like recording today, thats ok, and maybe I’ll feel like it tomorrow. With anything I think it just helps to try and be gentle with yourself as you figure out the balance🫶🌱

I think regarding the recording while creating, where it's causing you to retreat from doing what you wanted to do.. Definitely keep certain pieces you're working on for your own enjoyment if you find the camera deters you. Maybe pre plan pieces you feel okay setting up to record and see how that goes. 100% do whatever makes you happy, as a new viewer I don't want to see you unhappy just to create content ❤
@leechuts8 ай бұрын
ur so understanding thank you🥹🫶 yeah I definitely think it all depends on how I’m feeling - I think at times where i need a little extra peace to feel good about creating is when I should just leave the camera on my shelf - prob just a matter of listening to how I feel🙏❤️

I only just started watching the vlog but this artist-musician poster match up project is so sick?!?! It inspires me to make a poster/illustration for the artists I like as well! Edit: the poster is looking so goood even from just the sneak peak👀 also I’ve really been enjoying watching you videos ever since I found your channel about a week ago. I find myself relating to your thoughts as an artist and as a human being tbh :p ( I also love writing my thoughts down, it really helps me to process them). “Rest is not optional” is something that I need to remind my self as well… Keep on making your art and these videos cause they are great (without putting pressure on yourself tho !!) *I really hope that at some point your art will be shippable to Greece too cause I would love one of your art prints on my art wall hehe*

hello my peer, it is good to see you vlogging again. I loved being able to snag a print from you and I'm so inspired to have it on my wall. you have an amazing skill of observation within yourself, and regardless of your "output", you are doing an incredible job navigating through all of the difference facets of your mind and figuring out how to live your live authentically working for yourself. i've been taking more pictures and getting back into art making slowly after taking time to rest, to take care of the tasks in front of me before opening myself back up to making art. so much so to the point that i actually made my first print that im going to sell later this month. sometimes things just fall into place, and that happens when you really listen to yourself and stay curious about what your thoughts and feelings are telling you. congratulations on 12k!!!!!! i am happy to see your growth. ♥ -eos

Congrats!!! Leaving comments about the vibe and art. Think you're doing you, and not a lot of videos I personally see now a days are doing that. With your art I think you do what you want to show and what your comfortable setting up wise. For me I like the process of drawing, the niddy griddy of what people do to draw in their day to day. Cuz in the end, you're unique and no one can make your art like you do. On the video capturing side I got no clue lol, you're doing great imo, and whatever you can teach from that too, share on sister xD

If it’s str8 vibes then what are these sapphic feelings I’m having whenever leech is onscreen?? @leechuts i totally understand your battle for balance between self criticism and productivity and having a break to admire life, i recommend byung chul han books, he discusses how capitalism creates this demands and we have to perform accordingly. i struggle with depression for 20 years and i live in brazil and i hate summer cause it's unbearably hot half the year, so you cannot even breathe sometimes, it's the toral opposite of your cold there. and also i would like to ask, since i am a new follower, why do you like to draw horns in your characters?
@leechuts8 ай бұрын
Thank you for the recommendation! I think its super important to understand what role capitalism plays into our struggles - it’s a topic I really want to read more into. Thats true! It’s hard to be grateful of the winter from where I am ahaha but I can imagine too much hot is probably even worse🥵 I’ve always loved the look for horns on characters 8) I’m really into Japanese mythology and folklore so I pull a lot of visual inspiration from there! I have heard such feelings of creative people. Your feelings are natural and the analogy you gave to describe the highs and low of life was one of the best way to explain it what you were trying to express there. What I would like to say here as a new viewer is.. you must have heard it alot but go with the flow. Like take it as the time you are not working is the time when the creative side is at rest and whenever it'll need to express itself you will be able to do it AT THE RIGHT TIME. Like creativity will flow when its needed to. So try and dont judge yourself for not doing enough.. And for that self worth tied to being productive is also a natural and valid thing to feel as its what our surroundings, society and everything programmed us with. But go easy on yourself there too. Coz you are worthy for just existing and BEING!!... thats why its called Human BEING and not Human DOING😂( hehe, got it?) So just be, you are worthy of love and everything. You do not have to earn the worth. Your existence is enough to be worthy✨️ I hope this helps you or to anyone reading this. Stay blessed❤

trying to remind myself of this all the time😮💨 its frustrating as a perfectionist / anxious person to accept that I can’t always control my creative output, it really has been an intentional unlearning over the years and will continue to be something that I will work on/ try to find balance with🙏 thank you for the reminder🫶
