Artists Uncorked: Katie Truk

Katie Truk is an artist known for her innovative use of pantyhose and wire in sculptural creations. Inspired by neon colors and unusual textures since her early years, she began working with pantyhose as a medium in college, exploring its unique, translucent quality and tension against various supports. As an educator, Katie has taught art to students of all ages, bringing an experimental, material-driven approach to her teaching. Her work is regularly exhibited throughout the tri-state area, where it continues to captivate audiences with its intricate textures and interpretive storytelling.

In addition, guests are invited to visit MAM’s galleries from 5-6 p.m.; gallery admission included with ticket purchase.
The silent art auction will be hosted exclusively on the mobile bidding site OneCause so come prepared with your cell phones. We encourage attendees to pre-register ahead of the event. Your card will not be charged unless you win an item but is required to place bids.
