I cooked these biscuits this morning and they were delicious. That’s what I call a wow biscuit. I have a gas oven and it took 8 minutes longer. Came out perfect. My husband love the crunch of the biscuits. Glad I joined. 👍😁

Vegan butter is not margarine therefore you CAN make a delicious vegan version of this.

Is the sugar necessary?
@tawneosborn289211 ай бұрын
that small amount of sugar will not really have an effect on the taste but it will definitely help with the browning of the dough...getting that great golden brown top. Sugar helps encourage browning.

🤍🩷🤚 Hi from Los Angeles. I foodblog Veganizing recipes. Thank You for the recipe and techinque , reminds of Cornbread in the cast Iron skillet. I really like Biscuits. I learned of that faux Buttermilk with a quick and easy Biscuit recipe ( with Vegetavle Oil , instead of Butter ) decades ago from a Southern. I think the only difference with the Buttermilk would be the viscosity of It ( the taste is basically the same ) which can be accomplished easily with a thickener like Tapioca starch ?? A Plant Butter I just discovered is better than the real' , I was skeptical It wasnt Plant based. Probably with a casserole dish I would try , as I prefer lighlty toasted. : ) 🤍🩷
