Thanks for another gem of free information.... We need your course most in Africa but can't afford your fee. We greatly love your free offerings anyway. Best wishes to you and yours.

Hi Art of Drink, I wanted to take a moment to thank you and express my appreciation for sharing your knowledge about soft and energy drink creation for free. Your videos are incredibly informative and helpful. I was wondering if you could create a new video focused on sports energy drink creation. It would be fantastic to learn more about this from you. Thanks again for all your great work!

Definitely, go into isotonic beverages and/or the more common Gatorade type sports drinks

Thanks! I’d like to next see a video on workout-oriented electrolyte drink mix, like Gatorade or Liquid IV. I haven’t found a good sugar-free one that uses my preferred sweetener (allulose, with a tiny amount of sucralose), has a good combo and concentration of salts for exercise, without a bunch of stuff I don’t want like amino acids, and in a flavor I like, so DIY seems like the way to go. It is regularly over 100°F (38°C) where I live, so electrolyte replacement during exercise is important. For myself, I might consider flavoring with unsweetened under-strength drink powder + allulose. My favorite flavor in the commercial electrolyte powders is Liquid IV’s Passion Fruit, but that could be hard to figure out how to replicate.

This video came out at the perfect time to help me set up my new mineral water keg setup. I appreciate the tips on mixing the minerals into large pre made batches.

Great video! I love that you have a background in chemistry and therefore have an ability to give clear, scientific reasoning to what you make. So much better than just a recipe! What's I'm most curious about is how different salts help as an electrolyte for your body. How do these salts compare to adding Pink Himalayan salt (or other table salts)? And how does that compare to commercial electrolyte drinks like Gatorade? Keep up the great work!

This information is pure gold! I attempted my own mineral blend last week and although it has very high bioavailability, it's a bit lacking in flavour and solubility.

Great to see this one. I have club soda on tap at home and I've been experimenting with different amounts of varying ingredients to adjust the flavor, but I was mostly following mineral water clone recipes. Nice to see a breakdown of what does what. Looking forward to giving this one a try in my next batch of soda.

Electrolyte mineral water for the summer time, great! Can we expect a mineral water blend for coffee when winter comes knocking? I know of some companies that have a powder mix for brewing water based on the type of roast, but it would be interesting to see if country of origin would have any bearing on the formulation.

Hello sir, I would like to add ferrous sulfate and zinc sulfate to the electrolyte mineral water. Could you please suggest how many milligrams of each can be added, along with the formula you have provided?

could you add manganese and iodine? what about zinc and copper?

You can add those, but you need to be really careful with the dosing, especially manganese and iodine.

Hey there. I carbonate at 60psi with quick carb method. Can I use minerals and electrolytes in a highly carbonated beverage like that?

@Artofdrink awesome. I just grabbed some. I enjoy watching your videos. I'm making some of the most unique soda recipes on the planet using information from here. I'm also currently adding glycine as an amino acid. What about citric acid? Can citric acid be added still or will that cause minerals to precipitate? I'm also wondering the effects on carbonation and preservatives using an alkaline base. I remember either sodium benzoate or potassium sorbate needed a lower pH. Any suggestions? I'm pretty good at this stuff, but the chemistry knowledge can be a great resource for me to learn from.
@richardsanchez88082 ай бұрын
I did the math using your ratios and recreated the recipe using 500g potassium bicarbonate as a base for expansion because that's the only thing I didn't already have and the most expensive. Here it is. Potassium bicarbonate 500g Sodium bicarbonate 1250g Magnesium sulfate 750g Calcium sulfate (gypsum) 1000gr

Hey Darcy, just want to say I'm a huge fan of your content and dedication. With that being said have you considered hiring an editor to cut your videos down to size? For a mass audience videos around 10-12 minutes tend to do a lot better than longer ones. Just food for thought
@Artofdrink7 ай бұрын
Currently, this video has made $7.79 with 1600 views and it might make it to 5000 in a year, so spending $300 (typically costs $20 to $30 per minute of edited video for a cheap editor) plus all the expenses of buying the different salts, probably around $200, would make these videos too expensive for the money put into it, to save 6 minutes. The average view time of this video is 7 minutes, so it doesn't matter if the video is 10 or 20 minutes, people aren't watching most of it. This content is only valuable to a few hundred people, so spending $500 or $600 to make a video, plus my time, to get a return of $7.79 isn't worth it to save a few minutes. A 10 minute version of this video isn't going to increase viewership in any meaningful way.

I love the long form content, everything so meticulously explained. It's perfect for me, because I actually want to do these things myself. Also I really don't mind having a few more sentences in a video than needed to bring the facts across 😆 You know, people come for content and stay for personality, style of information put forward and so on. It's not the length of the video only. It's multiple factors. Also engagement in the comments is important for the algorithm :) Too long to read: I love the videos just the way they are
