His groove on "I got a woman" with John is spectacular

About time we got Steve Jordan, I’d like to suggest the sound of George Daniel from the 1975, particularly on their 1st and most recent albums as his sound is so different between the albums and it would be really interesting to see how you’d recreate these sounds purely from the acoustic drums

Thank you, guys, for covering drummer Steve Jordan, who in my opinion is one of the greatest groove drummers ever - and a little bit underrated in terms of degree of popularity (my impression). For people who know him, no further explanations are necessary. In case you don’t know him, I recommend listening to: The Pretenders: Don’t get me wrong Steve Khan: Guy Lafleur (killer 6/8-groove) George Benson: In search of a dream Donald Fagen: Walk between raindrops (shuffle-groove) Spyro Gyra: Silver linings Other outstanding but underrated groove drummers that would deserve more attention are Rick Marotta and Ed Greene.

If you haven’t seen it, Steve Jordan playing with letterman’s band when James brown was on is incredible! Definitely a great set, so much so that James Brown even says it was one of the best sets he’s ever had!

The drum sounds you should recreate next should be Iron Maiden (Nicko McBrain), Black Sabbath (Bill Ward), Queensrÿche (Scott Rockenfield), Cream (Ginger Baker), Ozzy Osbourne (Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman with Lee Kerslake and Tommy Aldrich), Motley Crue (Tommy Lee), and Def Leppard (Rick Allen).

Great drummer, great video ! But one question, how do you keep your cymbals so clean and shinny? 😁

The only artist I think you should have included in this that you didn't was Sonny Rollins. Sonny was one of the most important founders of the Bebop and hard bob movements and Steve Jordan played with him for several years in the early 2000s

It is strange that you guys are doing a Blues Brothers video without mentioning Willie Hall or Al Jackson Jr(the original drummer on the Sam & Dave recording). Maybe you guys should do a Stax Records drum sound video?

the crispiest drum samples . i need more stuff like this. like the stuff i suggested on the other video. steve Gadd drums would be awesome. I'm going to use these Steve Jordan drum samples for a video game, the Waiting on the world to change samples sound very close to what i've been looking for a long time. Listen to the music of the video game Celeste, there's real drums in a few tracks. go to 5 min 40 seconds, the build up then real drums. they had a real drummer record for this game. /watch?v=VXIqXaX1blY
