Commenting for self Study later: 0:40 De la Riva to Bolo - notice how he inverts by using his elbow as a fulcrum(pant grip keeps it tight); 0:50 Comes up for sweep instead of taking back since he lost control of opponents hips 1:16 Could've maybe gone for Dope Mount but instead pinned opponents leg with his knee, switched pinning knees and changed sized ending in a Leg Drag 1:31 Gets a strong cross-face before passing guard; left leg comes out and could lead to a reverse triangle (not possible Gaspar put arm under Rafa's right leg); I've seen most people grab the lapel or armpit here, but Rafa grabs the lapel 2:09 Turtle into reverse triangle into sweep 3:04 Guard pull in to sweep with de la riva hook--surprised this worked so easily 5:15 Passes the reverse de la riva by taking post foot and pinning it on top of hook foot, then he pins knees together with his knee, then switches his knee with his foot; works to pin the leg like a classic knee drag but opts to pass when Gaspar defends. 5:55 sees back exposure and goes for it--jumps into a bolo 6:12 has strong color grip that could lead to bow-and-arrow, instead he opts to let go of hooks and jump to a helicopter choke; since Gasper is more upright, he hooks the leg, if Gasper turtled, he would hook the arm

Se eu fosse o Charles ai, no final da luta iria falar com o Rafa e pediria pra treinar lá.. eu diria: "quero fazer isso que você faz!" Why did Rafa put his leg behind Charles head for the bow and arrow? I've never seen it like that. Any thoughts and suggestions on how this is more effective than the transitional mount style?

mshehab It's an old classic. Makes everything much tighter by forcing the head forward (it's the main escape route for the bow and arrow choke: if you have space behind your head, throw your head back in the hole and the choke is gone)
