I feel this so much. When I did my first stand up show in my hometown, all my "friends" came. I had like 10 of them before the show approach me and say stuff like. " Hey man we don't like cursing. Please keep it clean." OR " Hey man can you watch what you talk about. My wife doesn't like degrading humor" Long story short what do you think I first said when I walked on stage? I became a fan because he says the truth, I don’t find him controversial even if I don’t necessarily agree with every word (which I feel Tom would be cool with) I wish he didn’t have to deal with sobriety and mental illness, even if it’s molded him into who he is right now.
