Yeah. I saw a few in a big giant hotel in Reno. They were part of a massive voice evac system.

I live in New England and I haven't once seen one of those lights. Also, you should make an alarm system with this light in it.

I have not seen any of these in person, as a matter of fact, any elevator related light. They are cool, not sure why most people don't use these; they are pretty useful to alert people not to use an elevator in a fire.

It really is a cool device; never seen one in person, but still cool. I figured it would be nice to mix things up a little with simply an accessory, not just another notification device. The best part is that this is elevator and alarm related; never thought I would somehow tie those two together, besides showing an alarm device in a hallway while filming an elevator. I may consider more videos of accessories like this in the future, may not be as interesting as this, though.

Glad to see you enjoyed this device. I thought making a video on this would be different than the usual notification device. I may consider doing more stuff on various accessories in the future, although they may not be as interesting as this.

Yea, same concept with it being tied in with elevators. it's a very confusing idea, it's like the elevator will only recall if a detector near the elevator trips, otherwise the light doesn't illuminate.

My original guess for this device would be that it would be wired into the system, and if it activated, the light would blink. This would be any elevator in a building, not any in particular that got recalled (you're not supposed to use the elevators at all). Your guess may be valid as well.

I seen one of those but slightly different it said when light is on call is taken place when light is flashing help is on the way

supposedly, it works like if it was a strobe

Not exactly bright enough to be a strobe for ADA standards, still some sort of visual notification if you want to think about it that way. Almost reminiscent of the older blinking light devices (AV32, V33, 4050-80, 2903, etc), simply with an LED.

I haven't seen any in an elevator setup yet. I wonder why not many elevator systems use it, it's a BRILLIANT idea.

This is pretty interesting. I honestly can't say I've ever seen one of these before. (Although I'm not much of an elevator person either). You should check out my videos! I have tons of devices and more on the way (my entire collection is in the 'about me' tab). All of that aside though, great video!

Your welcome! I just got some new stuff so I should have a video out Saturday afternoon. I have been really busy, as well as having lots of schoolwork this week, but I'm planning to get a few videos out this weekend.
