Mam, how we know, first we have to take yellow shade as base for skin tones, bcoz at the end there is no shade of the base color, and also i have one more doubt based on it-: How we know what is the base color of skin tone from a reference pic itslef, plsss diii plssss clarify my doubt, it dizz me always😞

Firstly, there is no rule that your skintone has to be exactly like reference picture. So in Fashion illustration keep your individual style of drawing. Secondly, the more you practice and observe your reference pictures, the more you understand colors. The idea of skin layering is we start with any pale yellow or brownish color, etc and keep on adding shades to it with pencil colors. Swatch your colors well to see which pencils go well with which base. The pencil should blend in well and not stand out. Skin tones are multiple so there are endless options.

Both works very similar and you can take any. Tube colors are easy to mix in large batch and cakes are good for travelling

Does taking a reference picture is bad thing while during illustrations

When you are learning, you can take reference pictures ofcourse and give due credit to the owner. Understand illustrating and designing are both different terms. When you design your own and illustrate , it has to been original. When you just illustrate, it can be based on any other inspiration or work for clients, etc.
