I'm just COMPLETELY & TOTALLY OBSESSED with the Solar Color Dust Hue Chromic Fabric dye... I need everything to CHANGE COLOR! We've made a solar color changing rug before & now I want to make a TEMPERATURE COLOR CHANGING PILLOW! We dyed our own yarn with the entire rainbow of colors! I brought Studio Ghibli into the Artsy Studio & tufted FOUR....... SOOT SPRITE cuties!! AHH! The Konpeitō candies that the Soot Sprites have will CHANGE COLOR 😭✨ We made a two sided pillow & stuffed it with my tufting scraps too :)

As a yarn dyer myself I both absolutely adore seeing your videos involving yarn dyeing and dread the feeling I get when I see your method. Obviously it works for you and the different kind of dye makes a difference I'm sure, but I always wind my yarn into big long skeins and secure them with ties so they don't get tangled while dyeing and washing. The color change dye is so cool and I need to learn more about it to figure out whether it'll work for my stuff as well!

You’ve become so good at tufting! They turned out really cute. I wanted to tell you that I came across silicone gloves on Amazon, the kind I was looking at are for moisturizing your hands and wearing them at night but, they have heat resistant silicone gloves too. Either one would help to protect your hands from the hot water when you’re using dyes on your yarn. I remembered last time your hand were getting burned. Great video! I just loved watching you have so much fun making your pillows!

This reminds of the coffee cup my best friend got me for Christmas. The little soot balls are holding coal and then when you put in hot water the coal disappears and they're holding star sprinkles. Such a fun project you did!

When your partner said "we did" i said out loud, with my partner sitting next to me: i only saw him at the end of the video! she made the pillow! And my partner said "well, if its anything like in this house and she is the madsy artwoman, then he is probably the pacient partner has to comfort her a lot during her projects when she gets frustrated and says things like "why did I start this project? And go to the stores when you run out of yarn. Your projects are 20% my work, you know." I never felt more put in my place. Denying that would discredit all he does, which is indeed a lot. One of your best videos, great intro and the pillows are fantastic (even if I do not like tufting) !!! "千と千尋の神隠し" (Spirited Away) and "Tampopo" are my favorite movies - quite different from eachother though. Somehow I can't remember the "susuwatari" holding colourful sweets, rather transporting coal...but maybe the sweets featured in "My Neighbour Totoro". This colour-changing yarn is really fascinating...although I would not use it to knit a sweater. 🤔 And the company is definitely pronounced "Guibli" - or would you say "Spadsheddi" when you mean "Spaghetti"?
