If the void tramper elite was also weak to lightning, JY would have also cleared it in 1 cycle, similar to Argenti. People underestimate enemies who aren’t weak to your dps character since you lose out on 20% damage because of their elemental resistance.

The transitions are absolutely stunning and so cinematic, especially that clash of the nukes segment with the trailer footage cut in! I feel like you outdo yourself every video with these amazing edits, especially considering that you're showcasing turn-based gameplay which is more likely to come off as dry or repetitive compared to real-time combat. All the attention to detail on the part of your editing completely elevates these showcases to another level and always makes them a complete treat to watch and enjoy. Regarding the showcases, the only thing I wish is that you had used Hanya instead of Pela for Jing Yuan's side, as identical supports always feels better for versus showcases like this, and also my impression from early testing is that she elevates DPS more than Pela - but you mentioned that Pela had the best performance? so I could just be wrong on this one. Not surprised to see Argenti squeak out a win with his higher total MV, more CV from traces, better damage consolidation, and the elemental advantage, but Jing Yuan definitely showed up as well. Still yet to feel like there's a single thing in the game my general can't handle :D

happy to hear that and i really appreciate the feedback :) on the hanya end they had fairly similar results initially but it was a little tricky to optimize - you could run JY on attack boots too for more output but the problem came during the second phase where there were two targets. during my testing i found that the runs with pela were more successful thanks to the constant -42% or so (he level 12'ed pela ult lol) defense shred nonetheless i do think hanya is an amazing support and in a LOT of situations he would benefit more from her. the damage amp from pela as well as her slight personal damage since she was built as a sub dps - as well with crit and ice damage did end up coming out on top hope this makes sense!

honestly i understand why hoyo made both jing yuan and argenti backloaded (jy being LL focused, argenti on ult) and its because if they can spam their AoE giga damage that also deals insane dmg single target, then they basically make hunt and destruction obsolete. jing yuan's LL takes time to attack unless its 10 stacks, meaning you need to clear all trash mobs first with skill + ult so LL can do insane single target (since it bounces if there's more enemies), and LL being slow balances the fact that if it was any faster then JY's single dmg output might get overtuned. argenti is FORCED to fight multiple enemies so his skill can refund energy fast, and to make him more efficient you almost always have to pair him with tingyun. having his dmg lock in his ult is a smart move to make sure 1.) he's 100% more efficient in AoE fights because of skill energy regen dependent on enemies hit and 2.) he struggles a little more on solely single target since his ult energy can't be refunded fast enough and has to mainly rely on tingyun and huohuo. pretty well balanced

Why Pela over Hanya on the JY team? Pretty sure Hanya is the new BiS support for Hypercarry JY after Tingyun, due to her having perfect ult uptime even at e0 if you use her ult tech + cogs/MoTP, which fixes JY's speed while letting him run attack boots, and gives him an additional Asta-comparable attack buff. Then her talent gives a damage boost for JY's kit vs all targets on the field (remember, her talent is a 2 turn buff to allies conditional on attacking the Burden-marked enemy; it is not a vulnerability debuff vs the marked enemy). Still, for not having an optimal team, relic set (missing Salsotto and Ashblazing set bonuses), or enemy weaknesses, that was a much closer result than I was expecting. Very cool video, loved the editing and transitions.

Mmmm, feels like it's worth pointing out that LL does Blast damage while Argenti's ult does AOE + random hits. So in that first showcase, technically LL looks like it does more damage than it is cuz it's hitting three targets at once even though it overkills the adds while Argenti does that much damage solely focused on the elite. This is good for JY though, it should make him look better in cases where there's two elites vs 1 elite.

They do share same path but they have different mechanics, jing yuan ofc can have big numbers from the ult but his main strength is the follow up attack on the other hand Argenti is pure ult nuclear character so i think to make it more fare u need topaz for jing yuan

there is one thing that not really address in this test is the fact that over damage from Argenti bounce ult will not show if the target already dead before all bounce and the damage from LL will still count even if 2 other targets already dead(LL AOE damage). So, in reality LL damage should be at least 30-50% lower than it show while Argenti should be higher. 2:00 you can see the elite only took 4 bounce and missing 2 thus losing 248560 damage that could contributed to his DPS.

Seems like a bug. The first hit from Argenti's ult dealt 700k damage, while each single strike that followed dealt 124 x 6 = 744k. 1.4m checks out. Also keep in mind that Argenti was with Bronya, while JY only has yukong (which is understandable aince bronya can't buff LL)

Btw, argenti ult does a 2 seperate instance of attack, the first is the aoe, and then the 6 hits which is know already, but for some reason, the game shows the dmg seperately as seen when argenti uses the ult and damages the enemies in two instances. So in the first showcase you did, he actually dealth over 2 mil dmg (adding on the first instance of his ult attack being 700 mil which means about an overall of 2.4 mil dmg with skill and his 2nd instance ult!)

That's not how it works. 1.4m was the total damage from both instances of his max ult. Also, if you combined Jingyuans ult and LL (430k+860k = 1.29m) you can see their damage are actually pretty close. If Bronya can buff LL, JY will definitely reach 1.4m as well.

with Hanya *and* Ting you can comfortably run Atk boots since you're getting so many external Speed buffs

There is a chad E0S1 JY main that did 0 cycle this half with Yukong instead of Pela in that team. Still Argenti is definitely better, they need to make Lightning lord attack or get a huge turn advancing/boost ( like Numby ) when hit 10 stacks cause it feels like they did give Argenti a LL in Ult that can be trigger easier as long enemies keep spamming

The fact that JY didnt have an Atk boots and had an ER rope. The signature LC is just that much of a difference in Dmg output. Just wow...

How u do that , jing use 2nd skill before lighting lord with attack boots . I use tingyung with dance and haker set still mine miss some time

these are with speed boots - with attack boots it's tricky but if you have hanya/asta it shouldn't be a problem :)

I know you keep mentioning Hanya 3 turns buff on a DPS via her ultimate during the DPS own turn, but Im like 99% sure majority of the viewer isnt sure of that technique or unaware of it

With the proper investment he’ll definitely pop-off. I still almost always run with him for the moc clears. Every character is a situational star.
