Thank you for this video my friend. This is the kind of video everyone needs to get creative and comfortable in a new VST!

This is actually quite impressive. The Juno-6 was my first and only synth for almost 20 years. Sold it for way too cheap a few years ago to get Komplete Kontrol, trading an icon for versatility. I still miss it, and should have kept it as an investment but hey, life goes on. TAL's VST has been a great substitute, though this may be even better, at least in the nostalgia department. I'll jump on the next upgrade sale - thanks for the walkthrough!

Nicely done, dude. You fashioned some cool sounds there just from your simple adjustments. Nice.

This emulation sounds to tight, a bit sharp and thin on the edges, while my Juno 106 sounds a little more lush while recreating some of these sounds. The osc is close, but the filter is not there yet. It still sounds amazing and has the Arturia quality to it.

Have a look at the output signal level in his DAW (at the far right). Unfortunately, the majority of sounds were severely clipped so I would not use this video to judge the sound quality of the emulation.

The ultimate guide! very useful :)

Excellent teaching tutorial Dean! Great for newbies learning subtractive synthesis & experienced synth players who are unfamiliar with the famous Juno 6/Juno 60. Unfortunately, from what I heard (and saw in the output meter on the far right) many of the sounds you were creating were severely clipped. So, it was somewhat unpleasant to listen to, and it was impossible to make an assessment regarding the accuracy of the emulation.

Mind blown by that organ sim! I would've clicked all the buttons for ages and never figured it out. Excellent and funky sounds out of it all around. Thank you for explaining all this! (...I did figure out that the video doesn't match the audio in 21:20; you can clearly hear the MIDI keyboard being played, you're not just listening to playback ^_^)

I know, I goofed on the edit at that point 😭. I’m trying out editing in Resolve instead of Premiere, and I’m still learning my way around haha

@quickstartmusicproduction4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! That's just the stock 808 kit in Ableton Live.

WHAT DIFFERENCE WOULD IT MAKE IF I USED THEIR MINIMOOG-V INSTEAD OF THIS SYNTH . TO ME THEY SOUND BASICALLY THE SAME ...

we do'nt need more junos emulations. we have. Tal-U -No . 😊
@quickstartmusicproduction4 жыл бұрын
Tal-U-No is awesome. I think Arturia's has a little more of a vintage vibe to it, and TAL is a solid modern, clean representation. Both great.
@drinkinslim3 жыл бұрын
I wasn't that impressed by the Tal-U-No, but I'm loving this one. Arturia have also really improved their Jup 8 over older versions, imo .
