First, a very intriguing new controller! Aftertouch retained -- yes! And, IMO, Arturia's best vid yet. The color graphics clearly illustrate the major features and the music demonstrates what it can do and is well mixed. I also like that Arturia integrates other manufacturers gear (without even dusting it) into their vids like most of us do the the real world. Félicitations de Motown!

No doubt that for me this is one of the best designed and well thought out controllers ever especially with all the CV capabilities and the really great sequencer - I’d really love to see a full size key version though!! I just got my keylab 49 mkii and it’s a fantastic keyboard controller but I think a keystep pro with full size keys would be hands down the ultimate controller. I don’t think anything else on the market right now would beat that

I get the appeal of the mini keys and I’m not saying a full size key version should replace it, but the option to choose would be nice. I’m sure theres a lot of people out there including myself who’s workflow is geared more towards playing something more fleshed out straight into a DAW or something rather than putting in one note at a time in an arrangement view (not that there’s anything wrong with that) and I’m sure those people would appreciate not having to worry about accidentally hitting two notes at the same time or any of the other problems that become frustrating when trying to play something fleshed out on mini keys. Even more so, I know that I probably wouldn’t use this as a performance device unless I was just using the sequencer or to trigger something every once in a while - the mini keys just really aren’t fit for playing something more complex in a live setting

Wheels require extra thickness which goes against the design philosophy of this device which is meant to be super portable.

@@aikighost I disagree. The knobs are *taller* than the wheels on their other synths. Wheels could be added without affecting the maximum height. Smaller wheels are also an option, or "shallower" one that don't rotate as much.

Not sure what kind of trigger those use but the software for the KeyStep allows you to set different gate types including V-trig and S-trig (I've used it with my MS-20 mini successfully) - I assume the KeyStep Pro will be the same way

16 note polyphony per track, right? That would be fine for me. 64 steps with song chaining is also plenty for me. I have other Arturia keyboards and like the black knobs and a white keyboard, makes it easy to see what you are reaching for, in a dark studio/stage. The white shows/reflects the colored stage lighting nicely too, so me and my rig don't disappear on stage. I will get this, as it is just what I have been looking for lately, as I expand my studio. One ring to rule them all...

@@satyanpatel6403 I think keystep pro may actually technically have more steps in a pattern and more patterns but Launchpad Pro divides each step into 6 microsteps and along with the ability to slow the sync rate down you could actually have up to 1536 steps if you're clever about it.
