This is so nice! Love the preamp. When you push the preamp TO THE MAX (just to hear what the saturation sounds like) it has a very warm and smooth sound. NICE! A little bit of this saturation on a vocal really makes it pop! Thanks Arturia.

Thank you Lena. Very clear and comprehensive coverage. Arturia has been firing on all cylinders lately; great new synths (SQ-80, etc.), great updates to existing synths (Jup-8, etc.), Pigments keeps getting better, FX Collection, MicroFreak, Keylab MkII. Seriously, a good stretch of winners, with nary a loser in the bunch from my view. Keep up the good work, and while you're at it, please update Mini V next (maybe starting to fall behind a bit)!

I am looking for an actual tape emulation where you can rewind with scrub sounds, ffd with scrub, "touch" the reels with the mouse to slow them a bit and f it up. You know, like an ACTUAL tape machine sitting in front of you. It would have to record a bit of audio into a buffer.

Nice tutorial! This probably sounds really stupid but I have a Keystep 37 as well and I was wondering how do I get the knobs on the CHORD section to function like standard CC MIDI control knobs? I can only seem to use them to control the chord function and they don't show up as CC controls when trying to remap in Ableton :( Have tried MIDI Control Center but can't find the correct option there either.

Try holding the button "shift" and pressing the button "chord" in the same time, you will have access to bank of CC "b1"/'b2" etc... Then just turn you knob while assigning mapping with ableton live ! Have a good day ! :)

There is no opinion to midi map to my controller? Only on Arturia effects it seems 🤷‍♂️ Any suggestions. It automatically maps to my APC 40 however there aren't enough knobs.

Kind of think there's a big missed opportunity here to use that big exposed tape wheel for tape "scratching" effects. Grabbing it to stop the playback. Yes. But also pull it backwards and forwards.

In a few years' time, perhaps other bright sparks will devise technology which, on a pre-defined hand gesture or raised eyebrow, will plunge the user into prehistory, where, as a bearskin-clad troglodyte (s)he will bang together animal bones to while away the evening. For some reason when I export the audio anything with a tape stop effect goes silent. Any thing I can do to fix this?

Think it might still be engaged when you render? if it’s proper automated to be disengaged at the start of the track and engaged when you want it to, it shouldn’t be a problem! (I don’t think haha)
