Northern Downpour by Panic! At the Disco and Golden by Fall Out Boy I would sing those songs to my son to put him to sleep. He’s 8 now, and I recently watched the music video to Northern Downpour, and he instantly stopped what he was doing and said “you used to sing that song to me. I love that song.”

Probably nobody will see this one, but I want to mention "Never Talking To You Again" by Hüsker Du, from their iconic album "Zen Arcade". Hearing a hardcore punk band do an acoustic based song may sound like a bad idea, but they make one of the most simple, effective and intense acoustic songs I've ever heard.

When I see Rise Against in the description, I immediately thought of “Swing Life Away”. Good track, a meaningful one, for the recent times. The lyrics still hold up. “We live on front porches and swing life away. We get by just fine here on minimum wage...” Edit: Never mind.

You know. I actually had this idea before and made one myself. I was in the mood of hearing acoustic songs cause my parents played some Beatles and heard Blackbird after a long time and yeah. At 1st I've only included ones that I like but I added some classics and other ones I forgot. If you wanna check it out I think it was called "Acousting guitar leading songs" or something like that. It has more "popular" songs you could say, but I thought of many ones. And also some cheesy ones but just a few of them. The difference is that it's acoustic leading songs, so they are not just an acoustic only type of song. It's the main instrument but not the only one. It also includes pop songs (but only the good ones). At the end you'll notice that it's just the same aritists repeteadly but that's because I didn't want that at 1st. So to have variation I putted 1 song of those at the start and the rest at the bottom. I would love if you could do one like this but with piano songs, cause I play the keyboard and I would love to get introduced to new songs. Love the video!

It’s funny how every music critic either thinks that Fall Out Boy’s old lyrical content is either complete genius or complete nonsense, there’s no in between, I’m personally conflicted on what to think though, since I can appreciate the ambition of Pete’s writing but on the other hand a lot of their lyrics back then read like a game of mad libs, it’s pretty cool that a band with such Off the wall lyrical content were legitimate pop stars at the time, that definitely wouldn’t happen today
@thereverse-flash99424 жыл бұрын
Bring Back KP, Animated Obviously / Avrilonfire182 It’s complete genius in how nonsensical it is. I’ve never seen a band that has lyrics make no sense at all work. I’ve tried writing lyrics in that style.
@youraveragemusicperson21764 жыл бұрын
I've gotta go with genius. At least how it is with how off the wall it is. There's so many fast quips and jokes that should have no meaning in the real world, but within the song, it works well. Its pretty difficult to write lyrics like that.
