For the 'scaffolding' underneath a piece holding it together before you stick it down, i use masking tape. I find it really helpful because i can remove it, if i change my mind after doing more of the background x

Now this is a collage: Done with the intent to provoke feelings of a type. Not some willy-nilly gluing down of leftover paper from myriad projects. That is rightfully referred to in the American vernacular as 'Frankenpaper'. That's fine as such but please don't call it collage. And before someone objects and calls Frankenpaper 'abstract art', please don't insult our intelligence by trying to pass off frugalness with high art. THIS video IS collage
