😊 Adoro tudo ...

I love using the Matisse Antique White for exactly the reason you mentioned. Gives a beautiful soft tint rather than bright and edgy with the Titanium White. Awesome haul of vases and books. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy! 😃👩🎨

Both of your still life paintings were great. I loved both but I guess you can have a favorite one. Your book looks so pretty! 💓

Really appreciated the comparisons. What brushes do you use? I think I saw a flat, large round and mop/wash. Your book is pretty… it put a smile on my face:)

You are so cute! I love your excitement. I can just imagine you strolling the aisles at the art shop like a kid in a candy shop. You are inspiring me to get back into creating art. I’m in the process of decluttering my home and I’ve donated a ton but I have a collection of vases and sit abouts that I didn’t want to donate. I think I’ll start a collection for still life’s I always felt like my best artwork were always from still life’s if that makes sense. Anyway loving this video and your art is sooo flipping gorgeous the colors!

I am so excited by your work, shared it with a friend who has gone back to art college in retirement. Would like to see if possible to buy your book in California, near Mt. Shasta, wish you could see our wildflowers some day ☺️🌿🕊

Yes, much prefer the second, looser still life. Have you watched Sandi Hester here on KZbin? She's a lot of fun and it's amazing to watch her progress over the last couple of years getting looser and looser. She has lots of great tips about working that way.

P.S. I'm obviously watching your videos out of order because I'm now watching the one where you mention Sandi...

Man! I wish I knew about your book release. I'm not on IG but maybe I should get on more. Your book looks gorgeous and I'll definitely be looking out for the next release. Your still life painting is GORGEOUS but I know exactly what you mean about "loosening" up and not rendering the painting too much. I'm a huge fan of abstract and how you paint the world around you is just beyond stunning. People may look at abstract and think its something easy and a child can do but it is MUCH more difficult! My issue had always been rendering too much so I try to blur my vision and hold the brush barrel further. Thank you for your inspiring videos!

thank you for this, it was enjoyable to listen to you while working in my own studio. I also thrift shop/op shop items for my work! :) mostly as bases for my sculptures but more recently for reference. I love doing that as you always find something unexpected.

also I really like your second painting and I think it's because you let go of the patterns. The composition is indeed stronger and the shadow game much better too.

About trying to loosen up w/the painting. Would it help if you thought of painting it as if everything was in a fog? I don't know if that's even possible to do or if it would work but just thought I'd pass it on. From, what do I know...
