Reading the comments, the amount of people desperatly wishing back their childhoods really worrys me, so I hope this helps you, If you're feeling stuck in any way: One of the most important things in my life I've learned so far is to accept that life cannot be lived in a fantasy, because reality just doesn't care and no amount of whising and hoping will make things better. Whising for something unattainable like the nostalgic past or a perfect future situation is really just living in a fantasy and avoidance of facing life in the present moment. It gives you temporary relief, but like a drug ultimately makes you more unhappy. I always have and still struggle with that avoidance but now know that through struggling and not giving into it you get strong and if you keep reminding yourself that even though you gained strength it's okay to still fail sometimes or even a lot, you will start to and keep struggling gladly. That's how you learn to embrace life and the hardships it brings. That's how you teach yourself not to need to turn away and escape. And that will bring you confidence and lead you to happiness.

Elan Struble Yikes. Really bad day? Hope it clears up for you, pal. For the record, you would hate to meet me in real life. I've little patience for the type of boy who makes leaping generalizations about strangers on the internet. Lol but I'M the one full of myself here, aren't I? Keep reaching. But don't over exert yourself.
@iponce26 жыл бұрын
Elan Struble Look pal, I don't know what crawled up your pants and pinched you balls this morning, but I'll tell you right now it isn't working. There are a million guys like you, ready and willing to be a proper jackass on the internet for no reason and with little provocation. Its fine, really. But maybe find something better to do with your time, yeah? You can make any amount of inferences on me as a person if you want. You'd be wrong, but I don't really care about what you think nearly enough to write an essay about it. I genuinely hope you have a better day, stranger, because if your behavior here is anything to go off of, its been real bad so far. And for the love of god, don't be that much of an antagonistic prick in real life. I've seen people get hit for far less. And if that somehow makes me seem as if I have an inflated opinion of myself, maybe you're the one with the flawed grasp on the definition of "pretentious." Find your happiness. I think you need it.
@sidneyhinds8696 жыл бұрын
Elan Struble you obviously have been through some bad things, or going through a very tough time, but i honestly have much sympathy for you even though you act like you don't deserve any. you must feel like you hate yourself, and hate your life with noone to talk to, but if you wana talk, I'm here buddy... just try to lay off the insulting people for no reason other than trying to bring them down to make yourself feel better, because people get addicted to that shit like a drug, and they end up suffering the rest of their lives for it... instead of trying to find a solution to make themselves happy they try to steal others happiness to make themselves feel not so alone in being miserable, but eventually those people always get back up no matter what, and you're stuck feeling like shit all by yourself again... theres help out there, but noone can help you if don't want to help yourself

Sidney Hinds It's not worth it. I don't think our friend here wants to see reason. Best to leave it be. I already tried.
@sidneyhinds8696 жыл бұрын
Elan Struble im trying to keep it real as possible with you, and everything you're saying about us is actually how you're acting which is pretentious, and hypocritical. Now you diagnosing me as a complete nut case when now thats how you're acting. You're saying you dont care about his happiness, but obviously you do by trying to bring him down. if you really didn't care about his happiness, or disliked him for sounding pretentious then you wouldn't have made such a pretentious, and hypocritical comment in the first place. you would've just ignored it, and went on about your business. you got problems, and trying to look for an outlet just like everyone else, but this isn't the way to do it... theres better ways to release your negative energy, like go for a walk outside, exercise, anything, but trying to bring others down, or rub your negative energy off on others. when you do good it always comes back to you, and when all you do is spread hate it will only eat your spirit alive

I decided to share this story with you guys 😄 So when I was probably 10 - 12 , me and 8 of the neighbourhood kids went to the swamp close to where we live for mud crabs. Good times. I'd always lie to my mom and tell her I went to play soccer. So. Its the end of our journey and we are still in the swamp and we found ourselves behind a bee farm. The eldest one for our group said "Do not run across, walk slowly across one by one , else risking disturbing the bees and us getting killed by bees bites". One by one we walk across slowly. And now 2 were remaining. I don't know what happened but a bees took a liking to the kid and he fanned the bees away from him. Suddenly more came and the kid panicked and ran. Suddenly we hear " *BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ* ". An army of fucking beez chasing the kid and him running straight to us. So he reaches and bees everywhere and I mean everywhere. I had the bag of crabs and dropped it and ran. So there we are running across the muddy swamp (almost like quick sand) and to make it more worse we had to creep under and over the mangroves to get out. Luckily I didn't get bitten and I am still surprised. So the eldest kid asked where was the bag of crabs and I told him I dropped it. Kid dashes back into the swamp to get the bag like a fucking God and retrieved it with a couple stings. So we are out of the swamp and sat down to process what the fuck just happened when a hoard of beez flew out of the kid who ran's pocket. There we are watching him freak out and running from them. After that we went home boiled up some crabs and laughed. One of the funniest things in my life.

Those days when you can just lay around and imagine scenarios and act out these crazy dreams were the best, even better when you had someone to do it with. Me and my cousin Everytime we say each other for a year we would pretend we were castaways in the ocean on this mobile basketball hoop base was our small boat and we’d fish in the ‘sea’ and do all kinds of stuff, like ‘dive in’ and find corals and other stuff. It was like we were playing raft before raft even existed and in real life. Now that is one of our greatest memories together, being castaways in the ocean.

Yep, I need these days back. Fuck you adulthood.

My friends and I would compare each other's nosebleeds who bleed the most as a badge of awesomeness. Wearing all clothes and playing war. Climbing up trees to run from dogs, angry neighbours whose windows, house lights, street lights, TVs we broke and the main bosses; the upper class boys. It is a most happy memory.

(i'm no dude) but yeah it's apparently more common that we think: This kind of realization take place in early childhood. And later (pre-teen or late childhood) there is another big one..(It got a name but i can't remember it...) : The sudden realization that all the person we encounter in your life, even any random folks in the streets as a vivid and complex life as your (thus some sociopath are apparently unable to comprehend this feeling) It's interesting that we grow and come to big and (more or less) sudden revelations about life and existence itself, like we've got some sort of "levels" . The music coupled with the picture gives a reminiscence of the times and trips spent with that impulsive, hyperactive, cheeky but also motivational, funny and in the end good willing kid back in elementary school - the one that, as annoying as it was, always defended you against any bullies and insults with just as much energy. That kid is a symbol of vibrance, a very child-like vibrance, much like what's conveyed in the songs

william azerrad But some people cant do that anymore. Being an adult is way different than being a child. With no cares in the world and a land of possibilities, the freedom you have as a youngling is infinite. However you reach the peak of maturity, all these aspects come crumbling into your decision choices that sometimes prevent you what you really want to do. You can't go laughing and rolling the down the hills from morning till night with friends anymore. There's work and taxes to do. Things change when you grow up and its the harsh reality as we dream of more freeful days which exist in our past dreams.
@squantojones38366 жыл бұрын
In many ways, the most important I'd argue, you don't need to give up your childhood. Your childhood is like a primordial goo from which your adult imagination, dreams, and goals form. While most people abandon their childhood, it is very much possible to grab hold of it, and make it a permanent, and living part of your life.

this music isn’t even restricted to outside activities, three years ago my class had a school trip and we stayed at a hotel, my friends and some others sneaked out to mcdonald’s and ran around like crazy. There was no hate, no nothing. Only good vibes and the moon. I don’t have as many friends, but some i have left and we do the same things and more time to time. Just because you can’t relive memories doesn’t mean you have to miss them. Just expect better to happen, and it will.

I want to go back to play Pokémon with friends at home, doing team sports together and not worrying about money and job, just waiting for the afternoon tea to come or coming back home to eat pancakes, I want to live the past again, because I realize I may haven't been able to enjoy it as much as should have because I didn't realize how great it was :c

Family vacations to Yellowstone in the 80's. The parentals were still alive and paying the bills. Life was grand. I shouldve enjoyed those times so much more!

two summers ago, this lofi mix drove my inspiration to reach out further. to be what i really want. and though sometimes i look back with cringe, it's kinda crazy how powerful music is at times. maybe at that moment i've realized how free childhood is and now that im maturing, it just seems like a lost dream. im no longer willing to fight.

Why are you no longer willing to fight? I am 18 and I don't know what to do

My life has changed for the better and I am greatful. Its all about bravery be brave and fuck it just start living life. I turned 19 on the 15th of Jan btw.

is this kind of music a specific genre? or is this just chill/ lofi? as the title suggests it sounds pretty nostalgic, would like more of this

This is lofi hip-hop, but don't be fooled into thinking all lofi playlists will sound as nice as this one. This is especially high quality :)

Be careful content creators, this channel shows the music as being free to use for creators but it is not! You WILL get copyright claimed if you use any of these tracks now! Hoping this fine channel can update their description since it isn't showing the KZbin auto claim on the bottom.

I'm a 2nd year college student now and idk why but lofi like this reminds me of being in middle school and early highschool. The funny thing is that I hadn't started listening to LoFi at the time lol

I had a great child hood, had many adventures and found memories of my family, friends, and great times. Spent so much time with nature, and video games. Luckily things haven't changed and may my time here on earth remain the same.
