I really like these switches because if you have a multiple level building or a multiple network rooms you could stack the switch’s per location and have a back up clone switch to save time

Great video man! How long have you been in networking and where did you get your experience? I have UniFi equipment at home and work with both Cisco and Aruba at work so I’m loving all the content on your channel!

I don't know Aruba very well. What happens when the internet is off. Can I access it via the local ip?

funny how Aruba now adapts the "Edgeswitch" way of configuring VLANS tags

This is some good info. The info about the AP22 helped with my deciding what to get to replace my Unifi APs. Mikrotik cAP AC is much worse. I may try an AP22 to see how it compares to a Unifi Wifi 6 Pro AP. I would be curious to how well the AP22 works with Mikrotik switches when setting up VLANs.

Hi, nice video. I have a bit of a different situation for myself. I have 4 Aruba instant on switches that I want to stack. I am trying to figure out how to connect them and on which ports to use LACP on. I tried putting all ports 51 and 52 from each switch on a link aggregation but then i lose some switches. Any chance you can help?

The fact that Instant On has a 22 VLAN maximum when cloud managed is ridiculous, way under the competition
@katlegobopape97602 жыл бұрын
Nice one. So when you stack 2 switches, you'll have both switches having local IPs each but have one virtual management IP? It'll also be interesting to see the Aruba CLI - I bet it's similar to that of Cisco ;-)

what do you plan to do with the 1960’s after? Really interested in getting one for my home and would love to buy from you!
@CheekyMiner6 ай бұрын
Is Link Aggregation only added when stacking? Reason, I ask is we attempted adding a third 1960 switch to the stack and everything is all screwed up now, switch 2 isn't even online anymore.

Must be nice to be able to buy equipment. Anything we want to purchase in Austraila come with months and months of lead time. How are you getting all this kit all the time?

Have you done much with these compared with the Unifi products, I'm waiting on a 1930 24 POE switch, sadly have been for months. I've got Unifi, but I like HPE's warranty Vs Unifi's lucky dip

@@MactelecomNetworks thanks. And no recurring license or support fees for the switches or AP? No recurring fees period? Wow!

@ronaldo234252 жыл бұрын
@@MactelecomNetworks I never thought I’d see that from one of the big manufacturers like Aruba. They must be feeling the heat from Ubiquiti and TP-Link and others who don’t charge recurring fees. I used to love HP Procurve (bought by Aruba) lifetime warranty. You could RMA a switch with no receipt, proof of purchase, etc no hassle. It was great. I wonder how well Arubas lifetime warranty will work on these Instant on switches. Great video, thanks!
