One more interesting thing about this movie that earlier naseeruddin shah or Nana patekar were the options for fakir baby's character.. but due to dates and remuneration problems... they opted for SAYAJI SHINDE who was number one character artist of tollywood that time. He was introduced in TAGORE movie as villian and chiranjeevi was hero ( it was remade as gabbar with Akshay kumar as lead in hindi) from the very first film he dubbed for his character and stole telugu audience's heart... Nearly 40 types of getup of fakir baba were tried by producer and director... and finally okayed to the look.we saw In movie..

U know mohit who was the first choice of producer for main lead? It was mamtha Mohandas who played second heroin jn yamadonga movie of rajamouli and ntr.. but director KODI RAMAKRISHNA obliged that the queen or princess of gadwal must be height more than 5.8 .. it was the main reason director stood for ansuhka otherwise wanted to drop making arundhathi... And in place of SONU SOOD Tamil actor PASHUPATHI was the first option of pashupathis character but again director said that in flashback villian should look like a royal prince and must look handsome sadist... that's y they opted for SONU SOOD who was number one villian option of that time in TFI.. Sonu and anushka took it as a challenge and beared all the pain that both characters gave them while portraying... Director said that sometimes ANUSHKA used to get faint while performing.... but still with unconventional she performed and the rest is history... I just fantasized that if this movie was made I 80s amrish puri and sridevi would have portrayed these characters naturally like cakewalk
