Areeba's problem was being two faced. Her family thought highly of her because of the part she played. She pretended like she was someone willing to make sacrifices for the sake of her family's happiness, so they treated her that way. If they all knew she was more selfish and didn't care about anyone else but herself, they would've had fewer or no expectations for her. Who told her to volunteer to raise Noor as her own and step in for a missing Sobia? She could've just let the family hire a nanny like they initially intended. Who told her to sacrifice marriage for the sake of Noor? If she wasn't willing to give up her happiness for her sister's child, she shouldn't have volunteered or told everyone that's what she wanted to do. They treated her the way they did in accordance to what she said she wanted. She could've supported Maria and Rehan against the mother to refuse Fahad's proposal. Instead she encouraged the marriage so she could sabotage it, even though Maria was thinking about Areeba's feelings.

Who needs enemies with family with like Baby and Areeba, especially Baby. The way she lies to Asjad is just appalling. What did she think was going to happen to her if he got married? Did she think he'd abandon her the way her mother abandoned her brother? Baby was always over at her mother's house and yet her brother never said anything or tried to make her leave. If he was interested in distancing himself from her, or removing the burden of her and her family off of him, wouldn't he have objected to her always staying at the house even though she had a home of her own?
