And yes though her father's concern for his daughter was understandable his way of approach was undeniably wrong he could have approached both of them in a matter suitable and respectable for everyone.

Her dad is just being a dad, he’s looking out for his daughter, if he didn’t how would that affect his relationship with his daughter. However I do believe he could be more tactful. And Sharjeena is in early pregnancy, her hormones are all over the place, she is emotional & needs more attention from her husband. Mustafa has done a complete 180 degree turn, gone from being carefree/careless to aggressively making an earning! That level of change in such a short time is enough to rock any relationship. I can tell you from experience, when couples overcome these hardships in early marriage, it makes the foundations solid for life, Alhamdulillah.
