This is the G1 version that is 144hz. You also have 60hz which is cheaper.

On your computer. If you have a windows computer go to settings > Display > advanced setting (there might be advanced settings button. Sorry i forgot 😅) > refresh rate

it may also be your cable, my monitor(not this one) support 165hz through a display cable but only 144hz through hdmi.

What is the lifespan of this monitor? All the monitors Ive seen have short lifespans before they display no signal and power saving mode and shuts down.

I have just got mine. Works fine so far, but still too early to talk about its lifespan. The build quality looks good to me. Most "power saving mode" troubles come from bad understanding of how shared-displayport-USB C works. People should keep in mind that USB-C does not mean shared-displayport-USB-C : meaning that people should check whether their devices (PC, smartphone) have shared-displayport-USB-C, and not "simple" USB-C.
