Opening a surströmming can in your apartment is probably one of the cruelest things you could do to your unknowing roommate.

These girls should be given all the credit for doing it the right way, then it would also be a more honest and correct assessment. (from a Swede)

I live in the southern part of Sweden, here surströmming is not a big deal. But you can find it in grocery stores. I have tested it once, it was a friend with roots in the northern part of Sweden, actually in the middle of Sweden. He opened the can in a bucket of water, then the worst smell will disappear, but it still smells a lot. After we took out the fish, we put the can about 10 meters away from us. A cat got a feel for the smell, it crept up to the can, but when it got to the can it ran away and didn't look too happy. Probably even the cat couldn't handle the smell. How did it taste? Wasn't that bad actually. With the accessories that the girls also had, it was clearly edible. But we also had a couple of beers. One more thing, they actually eat "sur strömming" in western Finland along the coast in the Swedish-speaking areas.

I think you need to react to "Varokaa heikkoa jäätä" Yle video, what's scary classic, and I want to see your reaction.😁😅 Your videos are so good always.❤

Despite I spent 13 years of my childhood in Sweden, I have never tried surströmming but I'm a little bit curious about it so maybe I'll try someday, I don't know. That rally english is wonderful when its spoken on purpose😂

Rally english is awesome 😂 It really takes a lot of effort to speak like that

That super salty fish you have tasted must be silli=herring but surströmming is fermented sea herring. Salted herring is a common delicasy both in Finland and Sweden but surströmming is a swedish thing.

tbh I think so too. my co-worker opened one when he left from workside to another. that barrack needed to be pressure washed before we could take coffee/lounch break again.

@mikkotuisku1254 yes, I had also a co worker who's wife opened a can in their kitchen...they had to renew the whole kitchen, ceiling, walls, floors...you just don't open it like this

This might be one of the most stupid videos i've ever seen. Soooo many things that drove me crazy. -What is with that english???? How the hell can they speak so terrible english? Yes, they are young, but they have had to study english at least 7 years. -Every Finn knows to stay as far of that shit as possible. But if you really want to do some "jackass things", at least be smart enough to keep it outside. If you open that can inside, that smell never leaves , you have to paint the walls after. -How the hell is it possible that they don't know how to open a can? I can't decide if it's alarming, sad or just pathetic. -Fish hands ??? (somebody shoot me) -WTF girl? you're supposed to be a Finn. Don't play with that thing. It is definatelly "well done" so you don't have to worry about "sticks" or whatever. Just eat it...if you can.
