if you are struggling to remember the difference between deactivated and denatured just think, when it's cold you don't want to be active and do exercise so when the temp is low enzymes are deactivated so therefore when it's high it must be called denatured :) also thank you so much for these videos! :)

Hi! Thanks for the videos! It might be stupid question but why does pH not affect covalent bonds?

The reason that pH affects ionic bonds is because of the positive H+ ions can interact with other charged molecules or ions. Covalent bonding does not involved charged molecules (which implies a transfer in electrons), so the covalent molecules are not charged, therefore won't be affected by pH.
