As an Odia resident, I've observed that the majority of development initiatives and plans in Odisha appear to be concentrated in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Puri. Out of the 30 districts, these initiatives seem to be focused on just these three.

The health scheme in Odisha is not insurance based model like Ayushman Bharat. It is direct transfer from Govt budget to hospitals. That incentivises hospitals to offer range of services as no 3rd party insurance is involved.

Some people question why Pattnaik is getting elected. Odisha's per capita income is 10th lowest but highest in neighbourhood except AP. It's poverty rate has reduced to 15.5% in 2021 Vs 60% in 2000. Odisha still has some way to match states in South but it's doing relatively better in the region. And of course lot more potential to grow.

Yep, most people don’t realise that Odisha’s per capita has grown the same amount as Telangana by percentage (Around 275%), That kind of growth took Telangana from the middle of the pack to the richest major state in India. And that growth took Odisha from the poorest state in India (Below Bihar) to above West Bengal and soon Punjab. Odisha is around 11th from the bottom now with the 3rd fastest growing per capita GDP (after Karnataka and Telangana). Going from the poorest state of India to around average is pretty good in my eyes.

The basic are taken care of ( Food , water , shelter, Education, Access -Transportation, Industrial base & Policy) now it’s time for advancement.
