Hilltop Hoods, Nosebleed official, lads. That went hard! At one concert in Perth, I was a roadie (stage-builder, bolt-monkey) & sat under the stage playing cards, it lifted proper, when Nosebleed came on.✌😄

I was a roadie in Brisbane and worked a follow spot. They rocked the joint. I do nosebleed and Cosby Sweater at karaoke

So glad to see you guys enjoying this. The Hoods are fantastic. I gave up trying to get US heads to listen to them about 5 years ago. They just couldn't get past the accent. Nice to see times have changed. I enjoy the way you guys really take in the bars and clearly love hip hop. Edit: Just seen you guys did them a year ago, too. And I probably said something similar 😁. It's me lacking.

The reference to the children thrown overboard is about an immigration policy that was put in place by those politicians that if refugees coming to Australia were intercepted by the coast guard/border patrol the instruction was to turn the boats around and force them back instead of escorting them to port. this resulted in a vessel sinking and people on board drowning including children.

This reminds me that soulless scomo had a little trophy in his office that apparently was shaped like an Indonesian fishing boat like the one that crashed engraved with “I stopped these” when that was confirmed true he went from being the absolute worst to also a real fcking weird guy for me

Omg blast from the past, this was my childhood such fond memories. One Friday with friends getting some older kids to buy us drinks at the bottleo we saw them at Blackwood hungry jacks, a standard exchange of profanity ended in them giving the older boys the finger and calling them c*nts. But in a chill way. Just Australian things

I remember that Tony Abbott was our former Australian prime minister and Peter Costello was his deputy prime minister. When they were in office they tighten the boarder control and wouldn’t allow refugees via boat to enter Australia. So the parents started throwing their children overboard to get the water police to rescue them. They ended up putting them in detention centres on Christmas Island.

Bit of context to that, they wouldn't let them in no matter what, so it was try to force their hands or the boat runs out of fuel and they all die at sea

They didn't throw kids overboard. That was a lie told in parliament where they have "parliamentary privilege" and can't be prosecuted for lying. It was all a part of their demonising asylum seekers instead of empathising with people so desperate to get their kids out of appalling conditions in refugee camps so they get on leaky boats with them. Abbott should be charged with crimes against humanity.

not quite. John Howard was PM, not Tony Abbott. And the parents did NOT throw their children overboard. That was the outrage - that the government lied to voters when they portrayed asylum seekers as evil parents.

it was about the children overboard scandal it was Australian issue at the time but it was found to be not true (im australian who lives in Adelaide Australia were the hilltophoods come from
