Tornado at 3:14 This was an entirely unexpected storm chase without my usual equipment. This timelapse footage was shot on a very cheap dash cam; the quality is pretty poor, and no higher quality exists. This video is simply here to document the chase from start to finish, as it happened. A few portions are cut out for privacy reasons. This storm produced two low-hanging rotating wall clouds over a heavily populated area, multiple funnel clouds and a possible tornado, but did not receive a tornado warning from the National Weather Service. I’ll be following this video up later with something more in-depth including radar images and footage from additional sources.

I watched the circulation past within hundreds of feet of my house

Yeah, this I actually caught a few glimpses of while waiting to pick up my roommate, that storm was bizarre with how it charged down I-25, didn't expect my first 'storm chase' to be last night, but now I know exactly what a supercell lowering looks like. Thankfully the storm didn't produce that strong of winds or hail when it overtook my location.

@@Kurorahk you must have been ahead of me in traffic, you can see from my footage that the hail core overtook me and traffic turned into chaos. That wall cloud was wild looking. I didn’t get any video of it while I was repositioning north, but it looked sinister as hell while I was moving.

@@beyondwx Most certainly I was, and I was thankful for that, still like you said it was super sinister and took me by surprise, I'm still not used to seeing storms move south along the front range. But seeing that storm develop and head towards me was terrifying yet exciting, guess I got a bit of a bite of the storm chasing bug from that.
