[Intro] Brothers, sisters, young and old We’re all to blame for the wounded world Jet black hearts and abandoned souls We're all to blame for the wounded world [Verse 1] Brothers, sisters, young and old We’re all to blame for the wounded world Jet black hearts and abandoned souls We're all to blame for the wounded world Lock us down in the catacombs We're all to blame for the wounded world Singing songs of forgotten hope We're all to blame for the wounded world [Chorus] So raise your white flags up And let surrender eclipse the sun Will we never learn? We’re pointing the finger That’s pulling the trigger And in case you haven’t heard We’re all to blame for the wounded world [Verse 2] Time ticks down to a tragic end We’re all to blame for the wounded world Turn it back ’til we’re great again We’re all to blame for the wounded world Witch hunts cull the forever young We’re all to blame for the wounded world We’re the hell that we’re running from We’re all to blame for the wounded world We’re all to blame for the wounded world [Chorus] So raise your white flags up And let surrender eclipse the sun Will we never learn? We’re pointing the finger That’s pulling the trigger And in case you haven’t heard We’re all to blame for the wounded world [Bridge] Alright, listen I know this isn’t something you’re going to like to hear Which is exactly why you need to hear this Because we have failed our ancestors, ourselves And the future inhabitants of the wounded world You can’t pull back the trigger and then point the same finger You can’t pull back the trigger and then point the same finger [Chorus] So raise your white flags up And let surrender eclipse the sun Will we never learn? I know there's a lot of bands or singers out there that doesn't have that look but is rocking out with their songs, but to me i always liked that look. At least a basic look of it. The Emo revival is here people! Eye liner and black hair here I come again!
@elk34076 жыл бұрын
Adam Rees sorry, but the term "emo revival" is taken. It has been for like the past like, 8 years. "Emo revival" refers to bands like TWIABPAIANLATD, The Hotelier, TMP, and Sorority Noise. Your literally like 8 years late. What rock were YOU under?
@adamrees4006 жыл бұрын
--- nobody has heard of those bands. I'm refering to the well known emo rise in the mid 2000s, the style, the bands the music. Not the emo you are refering too. People love to make edgy comments like this like look how smart I am I know more about emo than you. People make the same comments about pop punk and always list a bunch of bands nobody has heard of. You maybe right.. But I am refering to a different emo era that means something to me and others alike. Right now there is a rise in emo music simular in style to the emo from the mid 2000s so I'm calling it a revival.
@elk34076 жыл бұрын
Adam Rees sorry, but emo revival is pretty known. Also, 2000's emo is mostly not actual emo. Only a few bands, like early FOB, were emopop.
@adamrees4006 жыл бұрын
--- I'm 100% aware that 99% of 2000s emo bands were not emo, most were post hardcore. I always used to say that to people in the 2000s but no one listened so I just settled on the word emo. I just refer to this era as emo as a generalisation because 99% of people think of it as emo. Thing is if everyone called it emo and still does. I do get your point though that the revival is not a new thing. For me it is though as 10-15 years ago the so called emo era was in full swing for me as a teenager and now as a 31 year old it's good to have this music back. I'm getting nostalgic over my college years and I am calling this a revival, it is for me and I'm sure a lot of people my age.
@elk34076 жыл бұрын
Adam Rees K, but "emo revival" refers to a specific type of music that blends modern underground emo with the classic 90's emo. MANY people are nostalgic for that. In fact, American Football but out a music video for their 1999 hit song "never ment", and it has 1.5 million views, because of a mix of nostalgia, and the new "emo hipsters".

ferna2294 They were together for over a decade. Lots of bands don't even go *that* long. Nobody should have to stunt their creativity just to satisfy a fanbase who cares more about an ongoing aesthetic than the happiness & artistic passion of the artists they 'love' so much. You don't care about the artists, the art itself, or the music. You care about the scene and how many followers it can get you. Artists need to create and grow *AS* artists. They can't do that playing the same shit for 20 years just to satisfy a bunch of adults who can't grow out of high school. It's just so cringy and sad.
@ferna22946 жыл бұрын
I´m not blaming them of anything, but even if they lasted 15 years, I think they would have left a fanbase behind, simply because of the impact that they had in the scene.

LYRICS: [Intro] Irmãos, irmãs, jovens e velhos Brothers, sisters, young and old Nós somos todos os culpados pelo mundo ferido We’re all to blame for the wounded world Corações negros à jato e abandonadas almas Jet black hearts and abandoned souls Nós somos todos os culpados pelo mundo ferido We're all to blame for the wounded world [Verso 1] Irmãos, irmãs, jovens e velhos Brothers, sisters, young and old Nós somos todos os culpados pelo mundo ferido. we’re all to blame for the wounded world. Corações negros à jato e abandonadas almas. Jet black hearts and abandoned souls. Tranque-nos embaixo, nas catacumbas, Lock us down in the catacombs, cantando sons de esperança esquecida singing songs of forgotten hope. [Refrão] Então erga suas bandeiras brancas e deixe se render ao eclipse do sol. So raise your white flags up and let surrender eclipse the sun. Nós nunca vamos aprender? Will we never learn? Nós estamos apontando o dedo que tá puxando o gatilho. We’re pointing the finger that’s pulling the trigger. E no caso de você não ter ouvido And in case you haven’t heard Nós somos todos os culpados pelo mundo ferido. we’re all to blame for the wounded world. [Verso 2] O tempo tiquetaqueia pra um fim trágico; Time ticks down to a tragic end; Vire de volta até nós ficarmos ótimos novamente. turn it back ’til we’re great again. A caça as bruxas abatem os jovens pra sempre. Witch hunts cull the forever young. Nós somos o inferno que estamos fujindo. We’re the hell that we’re running from. [Ponte] Certo, escutem, Alright, listen, Eu sei que isso não é algo que vocês vão gostar de ouvir, I know this isn’t something you’re going to like to hear, E é exatamente por isso que você precisa ouvir isso, which is exactly why you need to hear this, porque nós temos falhado com nossos ancestrais, nós mesmos because we have failed our ancestors, ourselves, e o futuro dos habitantes do mundo ferido. and the future inhabitants of the wounded world. Você não pode puxar o gatilho e então apontar o mesmo dedo. You can’t pull back the trigger and then point the same finger.
