I saw Wicked 5 times at the Pantages, but I never got to see Adam go on for Fiyero--what a shame!!! I wish there was a recording of his complete performance in the roll. THANKS for this though.

i saw wicked once two years ago and i was sooo lucky because adam was playing fiyero that night :) at first i was disappointed because it was the understudy, but that changed really fast xp i thought that he was really good. it's so funny because after i saw him, i tried looking him up and found like 1 video and now there are so many of him xp

Precisley, Adam Lambert was Fiyero in Wicked ON BROADWAY for a year and a half. He is one of the "actual 2 ppls that sing that song on broadway". I have the playbill to prove it, I saw him in it.

adam has a really good voice in the lower range too, but he usually sings in a really high range... it is a shame that he doesnt sing in his lower range more often, but maybe we'll get to hear more of that now that he's in the top 12 ^.^

Because he wanted to be a recording artist. Unfortunately, the recording industry is not very keen on signing musical theatre singers unless they just want to record musica theatre songs and that isn't what Adam wanted to record so AI was a way of getting the contract he wanted.

Adam will always be able to stay intouch with his acting/broadway skills. There is,however, not much money in it. His best chance is to go Pop. Once there, he can hit broadway and make some money at it.

Why not? He wasn't on the soundtrack, no recording contract, etc. David Archuleta won Star Search a few years back, and he was allowed, and made it to the top two.

since he's the understudy not the standby he has a lot smaller of a chance to go on. I talked to him a couple days ago at the stage door when I went last week and he said he has no idea when he'll go on again as fiyero if at all before it closes in la. that's pretty sad.

Are you kidding? All the contestants are linked to American Idol if they make the top 50. That's why we never really see anything with any of the cast offs except for like the top 5. It's about 2 years, and then they are released.
