My friend can't leave because her dad is disabled he is a double amputee and even being moved one hour to Moldova would be very painful for him. So they're whole family is staying.

Really good coverage, much more feel for those minute details and atmosphere. You really get close o the citizens being interviewed in a way, hot take reporting like CNN, MSNBC etc. does it. That has it's place too when there's action going on. But for interviews, this is far superior in every single way. I.e. the questions are cut away and you only hear from the person being interviewed. The questions are also asked in such a way that you can understand what they were, without you hearing them. The answer is enough. And that takes skill! If this is the last we'll ever hear from these citizens of Odesa, no matter if they do survive this war and tragedy, or not. I'm truly glad that I got to experience a short glimpse of how they live and their wisdom. A true honour indeed! Thank you Washington Post! And well done! Hopefully future generations will learn something from this..
