transfer window is open and Celtic still make no bids, no deals in the pipeline and the silence from Celtic says it all to me. just a few weeks to pre season training and the team has not been strengthening, Mark cooper still not announced either, no leaderships or organisation at our football club, its a shocking situation and one that will not impress Brendan Rodgers as he is looking to add quality. our number 1 priority is goalkeeper situation is still not solved

How do you know there are no deals in the pipeline Patrick? The club will be working in the background on a number of departures and arrivals. Maybe keep your powder dry until we have a competitive game to play, then we can judge how we’ve done 👍🏻

@@ACelticStateOfMind Celtic football club knows that our squad to big and its full of fringe players, according to reports Celtic are stalling on the Oh deal he now been left in limbo because our club cant decide whether to let him go permanently or let him go on loan for a full season and maybe bring him back season 25 /26. Celtic wont buy players until they off load fringe players free up lots of wages which will be thousands of pounds worth. their no deals in the pipeline because the club want to tried and swift as many as .of the fringe out of the club as possible. we are struggling very badly to find a goalkeeper to replaced retire Joe Hart. Siegrist might actually get his chance, just like james forrest got his chance and deservedly last season which proves to be the right decision.

Football matches are now a 16 player game. If you don't get any injury then the defensive players play the full game and you change 5 of the more attacking players. Therefore, you need different types of players in your squad. You need CCV standard right across the defence, including GK, and you need players, like Ralston and Scales, who understand that that they may not be 1st choice but can be relied on when required. However, the front players need to understand that some weeks you will play the first 60 to 70 mins and some when you will be an impact player off the bench. As Ange told us it isn't always about starting with your best 11 sometimes it can be about starting and finishing with the right 11, viz the way SA rugby team use their 23 players.

i agree with Jim. am getting bored watching Celtic with the slow pass from the goalkeeper, to Liam scales, to CCV back to the goalkeeper because their no movement in front of the defenders to make that forward pass, its boring to watch, lets go more direct in the new season with pace because its more exciting to watch, its easy on the eye, its Celtic way, the Tommy Burns way that was fantastic to watch his teams.

It's not as simple as that. Arsenal offered Celtic £25 million for KT. He didn't ask for a transfer or even push for one, Celtic accepted the offer. So Celtic(by their actions) WANTED to sell KT. The club wanted him to leave What do you honestly think would've happened if KT had turned down the move? You think Lawell & Co would've been ok with that? Or do you think they'd have taken measures to force him out?

A player is worth what a club is willing to spend. Same with buying and selling a house or car. It would be stupid for a manager of a club for example simeone to think hmmm i thought he was a player because Denmark don't want him in the squad maybe i was a little deceived! I don't think I should offer 25 million anymore let's say about 19 maybe 20 max. The boy would probably only of got injured in Germany anyway 😂 o Riley is a puppy! i agree with some of Jim Orr comments today. the other ones i totally disagree about Kieran Tierney and criticising Scottish football. Celtic cant afford 25 million pounds Jim and wage hundred thousand a week in wages that just false commenting, we would go bankrupt within a week paying that sort of money out for Tierney. ive seen big players come and here and flop in Scottish football flo of Rangers, he cost 12 million pounds, thomas gravsen.

If we can't buy players in the £12-£15 million transfer fee range (because it would send our wages spiralling and we'd run afoul of UEFA's financial fair play rules etc...) and are restricted to the usual price range etc.... And if we do still have £50-70 million in Cash come the end of August then we simply have to put that money to good use elsewhere in the club. Having 10's of millions sitting in a bank vault serves no purpose, so either spend it on the team or spend on the stadium & other infrastructure projects. I don't know what the legalities are around PLC's owning property/land but could we not spend £10 million on acquiring some property? We could then lease it out and that'd be another source of revenue for the club which in turn would mean a higher turnover which in turn would mean being able to pay higher wages in the future without breaking any UEFA rules... As I said, I don't know if the above is even legal (or practical) but the point is that we should be doing SOMETHING with this money for the good of the club wether it be on or off the field.

Any interest would be minimal though and wouldn’t even keep you above inflation. So you’d effectively be losing money
