As The World Turns - January 12, 1998

Here, once again, is another classic ATWT wedding episode. In this episode, Holden and Lily get married… once again. But this time, their wedding doesn’t become any sort of ordinary uninterrupted wedding. And if you have already seen this episode before, you should know and understand what I'm mentioning here. All of the wild, wacky and love-wide memories and action seen here were broadcast on CBS back in January the 12th of 1998.

I really cannot even begin to explain how much I love Maura West as Carly Tenney. From the moment she set foot on the Oakdale canvas for the first time in 1995 to her on-again/off-again romance with Jack Snyder (played by Michael Park, who went on to originate the role of Larry Murphy in Broadway's Dear Evan Hansen) that lasted right up until ATWT went off the air in 2010, Carly was a strong force to be reckoned with, and Maura definitely made the role her own by bringing the character to life with, in the words of RuPaul, charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, plus class, style, and a witty sense of humor. So iconic. We loved Maura back then, and we still love her even today as Ava Jerome on GH. Truly one of the reigning queens of daytime. Enough said. Thanks for taking yet another trip down Oakdale memory lane! In the meantime, I have a particularly random "A Quest For Love" related question for you. Would you love to see/hear Harris and Heather's second wedding get interrupted by Marisa with the shocking news that she's pregnant with Harris' child?

Honestly, Maura West has shared a lot of her extraordinary acting skills, but not only that, she put them to the test and gave them meaning. From her Carly years in Oakdale right up to her current Ava years in Port Charles, Maura is definitely one of the most deserving iconic divas of Daytime TV. I'm so happy that you enjoy this and Maura's work as seen here! To answer your question, "Quest" could really use that wedding crasher scenario in it's plate. We definitely should add this to our S.A.U. soap's [fan-fictional] scrapbook containing everything that happened during it's run on the [S.A.U.] air.
