@@TheLocherRoom I love the 2 on 2 LR's. Keep mixing it up. I would not mind if SS -Cass and LD as Felicia from Another World just them together. How about DD as Paul/LLB as Christine from YR if possible. Go all over the place in soaps. I used to watch GL/ATWT as a kid. Both great shows. In fact. When I look at how great those shows were. The Dialog was really great. They talked liked normal people.

When I stayed with my great grandmother she would turn on channel 2 and say I wonder what Lisa is up to today! I loved this soap! My mom, both grandmothers and my great grandma watched As the World Turns. I used to be happy when we were on spring and summer break as well as holidays as that was the only time that I would be able to watch the show. And then then came the day when you could actually tape the shows! aka VCR!

Alan- I surely have enjoyed both the ATWT and GL reunions. I realize that you stared providing these during the Coved 19 crisis, but I hope you will consider continuing them on some basis. You (or the people you have on) may not have time to do as much, after we all get back to "normal", but I know I will still be tuning in regularly, and I think others will too. I also have a suggestion; you might consider involving others from the crew, casting, production, wardrobe, makeup, etc. God Bless You, and Thank you..-Scott

this was a really bittersweet stream to watch but i do appreciate scott and ellen's honestly in terms of how shit (pretty much everyone but especially) the veteran actors were treated in the final years of the show. the only characters who really got a happy ending were carjack and barbara and henry.

Another wonderful chat. I think "Tom" and "Margo" were the longest married couple on a US television soap that we saw get married and stay continuously married (1983-2010). Bob and Kim on ATWT I think would be next (1985 to 2010). "Mike" and "Nancy" married on The Edge of Night in 1963 and stayed continuously married until the end in 1984. They were probably the third longest married couple the audience saw get married. "Nancy" and "Chris" on ATWT, of course, were married for 50 years, but we did not see them get married. In the UK, "Phil" and "Jill" were married on the radio soap "The Archers" in 1957 and stayed married until "Phil" died in early 2010, a marriage of 52+ years.

@@mysterio1570 I grew up with As the World Turns and Guiding Light. I started watching these shows in the 70s when I was a little kid with my mom. It was sad when they went off the air. Honestly I really didn't watch them anymore they changed. I couldn't stand the Reva show on The Guiding Light. So many people I didn't care about. It was great and it was like normal families with a lot of drama.

I don't care now I had nothing against Margaret Colin as Margo, Ellen will always be my original Margo Montgomery Hughes and Scott Holmes will always be my original Tom Christopher Hughes. No offense to Tom Tammi, Greg Marx and all other previous actors who played Tom Hughes. I always wonder why Margo always called John (Larry Bryggman) by his name instead dad. LOL!!!!

I told Fans of The UK Soap Opera EastEnders and how Tom Hughes was recasted 13 times and they were stunned. They don't do SORAS, children actually grow up in front of the nation. Also as many of you know Scott Holms played Danny Zuko on Broadway in Grease and they did a tribute to Grease called Grease enders.

Justin Deas and Margret Colin set the bar high for who Tom and Margo were. Ellen and Scott had it harder perhaps, because Justin and Margaret came first. I started watching it in high school during the phenomenal “Mr.Big” storyline of the early 80s. Every episode was pins and needles. Ellen and Scott did a great job. They in my mind represent who Tom and Margot became. They did a great job closing the curtain.
