Martha I noticed how much bigger he looks here too. I think since when they filmed this interview it was at least a year after they finished filming, it’s possible that he’s putting on that natural ‘becoming a man’ weight? Like not getting chubby, but that stage where boys just get a little thicker and fill out naturally? Also this is the second interview that I’ve watched with her and Asa regarding this show, and in the first one she had a British accent.. I don’t understand it but from the comments I gather that one of her parents was British and the other was American and she tends to switch back and forth depending on who she’s talking to? I did notice that so far in all the process of watching these interviews, she hasn’t used her American accent while in the interviews that took place in the UK at all. Only the British one... kinda weird.

Lydia Stewart she mentioned in an interview once it’s dependent on the interviewer, if the interviewer is American she goes all American if it’s a Brit she goes all uk. The problem comes when there are both Brit and American people around her as seen in this interview. Also an interview she had on the show “the talk” she was struggling to maintain one accent cause Sharon Osborne was the joint host with an American woman.

It's not weird at all. I have a friend who was born in Wales, then moved to London and from age 11 he spent most his life abroad and he speaks American English only with us, his friends and when he's with his family his British accent comes out.

She's not half British.. Both her parents are from the US, she was born in the US but moved to the UK at aged 2. The English accent was the first one she spoke with. She moved back to the US aged 11 or 12 and was bullied because of her English accent. She then picked up the US one. She naturally has both accents depending on where she is and who she is speaking with. I was a huge x files and Gillian Anderson fan so have pretty much read every interview with her, and even read a biography on her. Also, she's lived in the UK for years now.
