On the UK Soap Opera Emmerdale, when Tom King "Died", he was generous. He left $25,000.00 to his Aunt Phyllis, he left his former Assistant Edna Birch his Carriage Clock, Fountain Pen and $5000.00. He left his Mansion to his "Latest" Wife Rosemary and rights to live on the estate. He Left a Pearl Necklace and a Gold Chain to his Late Wife's Former Nurse Carrie Nichols, he left portions of his Business to his Sons James aka "Jimmy" Matthew aka "Matt" & Carl but when they found out someone inherited 10% of the Family Business they were stunned. It was left to Scarlett Mary Nichols (Carrie's Daughter) she was the result of an affair Tom had with Carrie when his Wife was dying of Cancer. Carrie knew what she was doing. Tom was very generous with her, with Child Support Payments. I think that Asa was jealous that his Sons were more of a "Family Man" than he ever was.
