Purnananda couldn't defend long - gaurinath seek help to brits - Cornwallis send 360 sepoys under Welsh 1792: British came assam & defeat moanoria 1795: British troop withdraw & jorhat capital shift Kamaleswar singha -dondua druh, under haradutta biradutta. - supressed by kaliabhuruma borphukan. Got Pratap ballabh title. Wanted to create bridge over brahmaputra Chandrakanta singha - Conspiracy against purnananda burhagohain with friend satram - in ghy, badan ch borphukan became arrogant - badans mismanagement news got by burhagohain. So he sent force to arrest badan. - badan fled to bengal and seek help from British but british refused to help - badan went to burmese and seek help. - 1817, burmese sent army under badan - at ghiladhari, burmese vs ahom. Ahom defeated. - purnananda burhagohain died when he came to know that burmese were brought by badan - Badan became de facto. Chandrakanta allowed to remain as king - Burmese went. Badan was killed. - ruchinath attack jorhat. Chandrakanta removed from throne and mutilated. Purandar singha made king - Chandrakanta seek help from burmese. - burmese invade under ala mingi
