Hey Marquis, amazing webinar. I recently joined a company that has asana. It does require a lot of work to set up and keep it, but it pays off. Can you share your thoughts on this trade offs and best practices on how to drive usage and maintenance?

Thanks for sharing your experience! Setting up Asana can indeed be a bit of work, but the benefits are worth it. Here are some * best practices* to enhance usage and maintenance: *- Clear Guidelines:* Establish naming conventions and task assignment rules for consistency. *- Recurring Tasks:* Automate ongoing tasks to ensure nothing is overlooked. *- Organize Tasks:* Use sections and custom fields to prioritize and categorize work. *- Utilize My Tasks:* Encourage team members to track their responsibilities in one view. *- Regular Check-ins:* Schedule reviews to clean up old projects and tasks. *- Training and Support:* Provide training and designate "Asana champions" for assistance. *- Integrate with Tools:* Connect Asana with other tools (e.g., Slack, Google Drive) for streamlined workflows. Additionally, I recommend checking out our video about *The Most Common Asana Mistakes To Avoid* for more insights: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5C9l5ubj5mif8U

Two Questions: 1.) Does the workload calculate estimated time for subtasks assigned to members if those subtasks are not also parent tasks in the project? 2.) It won’t be true capacity if you don’t have all projects the member is a part of it those projects aren’t a part of the portfolio, right?

Hi Skyler, great questions. 1. Yes. Workload extends to subtasks and they can now be displayed on the timeline. 2. That’s correct. You need to have all projects in the portfolio to get a realistic view of the team member’s capacity.

Hi Marquis, thanks for this videos. I found your channel and I’ve been binge watching all your episodes. Trying to design between Asana, ClickUp, Monday & Notion. Question, does the workload and capacity includes guests?

Thanks so much for the comment. I guess I need to go make some more videos! I’m starting to explore more about Monday and ClickUp. I’m also a Notion user for a lot of my notes and family/life docs. Yes, guests can be counted as part of the workload. As long as they’re a member or a project, or at least assigned to a task in that project, they will be reflected.
