This basho was tough for me. Because of course it was exciting to see a new Yokozuna; but I had to say goodbye to my favorite Yokozuna Takanohana, who is still my favorite to this day. But Asashoryu really brought such electricity to the sport for the next few years. I miss him as well

He was entertaining to watch, for so many reasons. Such a stark contrast between him and your quintessential Japanese rikishi. He was a bad boy in and out of the dohyo, and I guess that isn't really a surprise.
